Typical Newcastle. And to think, for a second, I almost thought we would comfortably win this.

Beaten at home with 60% possession
    They had Fellaini out
    They had Cahill out

    Not good.

Arteta was the difference. We did not have any creativity in our midfied.

Everton were there for the taking with their injuries today and haven't really been good all season... so obviously that means they'll beat us. so ****ing annoying when we had a terrific chance these last 2 games to really cement a top half place. now we STILL have to look over our shoulder when we could be home dry.... If we start to slide all the hard work, the 6-0, 5-1, 4-4's all them will mean NOTHING. Sort it out boys, threw away points at spurs and sunderland and threw away a wonderful chance the last 2 games compounded with an average performance.

    AWFUL AWFUL AWFUL...

    Defense ****e
Midfield ****e... id like to see an accurate pass completion percentage. awful

Why take off Best?... the only one getting stuck in up front. keep Ameobi on to make over hit passes when we are in a good position (is ranger injured?)
    Lovenkrands.... retire... please.

once again.. ill say it... AWFUL!

Shows how important Enrique and Barton are to us. Hopefully when Ben Arfa and Ireland return we can get more creativity from them, and we're really highlighting our need for a good striker.

In the grand scheme of things though our league position hasnt and wont change this week, still we should be looking down rather than up, things are so tight at the minute. Not the best game by any stretch of the imagination but forget and move onto stoke - who got a pasting off west ham.

I only got to see the second half, but when i tuned in ans saw Shola was on i must admit the thought of a comeback seemed pretty distant. When the ball comes to him i have so much more doubt he will do ANYTHING constructive with it compared to the rest of our starting XI.

It is disappointing, but we were lucky it was only 2-1, they could've easily scored 4 or 5
