I think Leeds United is a good bet for him too. Grayson is on borrowed time, it's Yorkshire and they had a go for him a few years back.
I think any underperforming Champ club is great fit for NW so Leeds, Ipswich, Coventry etc Might also allow us to get a few squad players off the books if it happens.
lol. Think that might just clinch it for him!! Who is going to adopt Warnock's next club as their second or third team??
Jan 11 2012 By Paul Warburton NEIL Warnock reckons he has been inundated with offers since his 8am sacking on Sunday morning as QPR boss. Both Ipswich and former club Plymouth are understood to have expressed an interest in the man given the shove after just 22 months in charge â but Warnock is set to bin the lot while he gets over âdisillusionmentâ following his dismissal. The manager who won Rangers the Championship just last season also supposed his P60 was in the post long before the disappointing draw with MK Dons at the weekend, and agreed a 6-0 win over the League One outfit in the FA Cup would have still seen him out on his ear less than 24 hours later. âFor them to set up Mark Hughes as manager in less than two days is highly unlikely,â he said. âItâs got to have been going on longer than that, hasnât it? âIâm not sure what I want to do right now, but Iâve been inundated with offers in football and media work, and maybe an advisory role somewhere might be attractive.â But the 63-year-old insisted it would have to be a very good job to go elsewhere in the country and live on his own until the summer at least. Wife Sharon, and their young son and daughter are settled at their house in Richmond, and would stay there should an offer come along Warnock is unable to refuse. http://www.ealinggazette.co.uk/sport/qpr-ealing/2012/01/11/warnock-inundated-with-offers-after-qpr-sacking-64767-30101982/?
“For them to set up Mark Hughes as manager in less than two days is highly unlikely,” he said. “It’s got to have been going on longer than that, hasn’t it?" He's probably right and while this may seem underhanded I am glad the board did have Hughes lined up - a gap in leadership would have been disastrous.
Seems too much of a coincidence that a lot of the players we are being linked with are players that have previously played under Hughes AND we are still going for the same players even under new management.
Staines, just noticed your signature. Surely you should donate that to Brixton or Coldharbour. Great choice though, I still want us to be running out to London Calling at maximum volume.....
I think he will end up at Plymouth in an advisory role or DoF. Hes 63 and I cant see him taking on another big job, especially at ipswich with all the travelling involved.
I dont see him wanting lots of money after all if youre staying down there, the options of employment are severely limited.
Given Warnock's love of Cornwall, it would be great if Plymouth could find funds to bring him back. Can't think of a better prospect to bring Argyle back to life than thrifty Neil. Certainly knows how to polish a turd or two.
I chose the sig in honour of Brixton becoming No 1 Mod . Great tune (You should listen to The Blaggers ITA version-Superb !!)
