sureley,we are now in a ridiculous position,we find ourselves a premier league club, who need international clearance on virtually every player we sign.Situ, was a disaster,it even took 1/3 of the following window to complete, another summer signing was aborted.Donnelly has taken 10 days to complete, last year,we failed to get clearance for david edgar.the last player we signed without clearance must have been Neil taylor! we are in for maynard,,,it will cost him about £7.50 in petrol to come for his medical, but he still needs international clearance.something has to change and soon
Pretty sure that all that would need to happen is Swansea being governed by the FA, not the FAW. But we've been over and over that situation - sadly, it probably won't ever happen...
i realise this, but to open another can of worms,if we can have fifa dispensation for an uk olympic team, why not uk transfers?
why don't european worker's need the same clearance to be able to work in the uk? arn't footballer's worker's?
good point doctor, there has got to be some restraint of trade issues here,i.e how would you feel if your told you cant take a job at panasonic in bridgend, untill you get international clearance from japanese authorities....ridicilous i agree but the same principal
The decision making are just a bunch of money grabbing bastards who have to find things to do to justify the pay they get for doing next to **** all. If they streamlined the process for us in the Premier League it would probably put 3 to 4 people out of work. Very cynical view I know but its starting to do my head in!!!
The situation is crazy!!! I'd rather be governed by the FA to solve issues like this. I'm sure the club is looking into this problem and trying to resolve it, with Steve Penny on the board and his company JCP we have the legal resources to try and resolve the issue or find a compromise.
the process doesnt seem confusing.. its a shame we look complete clowns not being able to get this process correct. http://www.shropshirefa.com/News/2011/10/GuidanceForInternationalClearance.htm
Players from all over the world play club football on all teams in the Premier League and are not subject to " Nationality issues " ... like Swansea . It should take equal time for all players' transfer issues to all teams in the Premier League . It's the League itself that look like clowns on this one I'm afraid . Swansea have extra hoops to jump through , just because we know these hoops exist , doesn't make it right or fair .. just an opinion .
