Bad news for you guys is Ben Arfa looks back to his best. Sorry to hear about Faurlin aswell, we know how it feels to lose a star player through a bad injury.
I fear for our midfield against there's. No Faurlin and Barton is a huge blow. Felt they made Cabaye and Tiote look pretty average at Loftus road (which is no mean feat as they have been class all season). We're lucky they're without Tiote on Sunday, but can still see us being completely overrun to be honest. As much as I love the guy, I don't want to see Buz play, he's just not up to it. Do you think Hughes would maybe bring SWP in to the centre and play DJ out wide? Either way, Derry is going to have to have the game of his life!
I'd be tempted to use someone like Gabbidon along side Derry : Kenny Young Ferdinand Hall Hill Derry Gabbidon SWP Mackie Macheda Helguson You never know though....we may have Samba before Sunday!!
A bit harsh imo. I think he's done ok, but we are so short of midfield holding players that I'd give him the job with Derry! He can tackle, is quick and not bad on the ball.
I know that you have seen him more than I have Col, but strikers seem to be able to get across him far too easily. That doesn't mean that I'd pick Hall or Connolly ahead of him though!
Looks a solid team Col! One player I wonder about is PVM who Neil brought in as back up for Ale. Haven't heard of him for ages, but if he's there still and fit he could be in the running. if we haven't already brought in another replacement for Ale by Sunday.
That's funny, I almost posted up a possible team exactly like that but with Connolly in defensive mid as he's played there before. But then I thought that would get shouted down immediately! Whoever he chooses, they're going to surely play to impress.
We have one good striker at the club and he's off for ACoN and we have a ******ed alien playing right wing. However, with Santon playing LB our defence is looking solid. Your midfield backbone is gone due to dubious suspension and a terrible injury. You're also short due to ACoN. This game has 0-0 written all over it.
Reinforcements or not, still fancy Toon for this one. You're at home and still on something of a roll. Consistently good results makes confidence and that becomes contagious. For us its anything but. Hughes ain't known for 'Arry type hitting the ground running. It'll take a bit of time I'm sure.
