Excellent news, along with losing the 'Toure Two', that helps even up our loss of Ade and maybe Sandro and Gallas.
Who will play central def for city then? Lescott and.... Is great news, if we come away with anything it will be a big bonus. Could really do with another striker this Jan.
Apparently Mancini thought it wasn't a foul. I'm delighted the appeal has failed and that gives us a better chance v City. One possible CB is Richards I guess, but I'll leave it to City fans to do that guesswork a lot better than I can.
I wouldn't say that LDL, there is a reason people are allowed to apeal. I'm not complaining though. If we have our first team out there (Esp modders, King, Bale and Lennon) we might be able to nick a win, but losing Ade will change the way we play. Defoe and VDV? hmmm
I hope we've got a new striker in by then, but if not maybe Defoe/Pav? None of the alternatives to Ade fill me with any confidence, which is why to me another striker who can cover for Ade is the priority this window.
It is too big a game to play Pav - he is too much of a passenger for most of the games he plays. Has to be defoe although VDV has done well as a lone striker before (Villa )
Mancini's obviously alienated half of his squad, as he thinks he's only got a couple of players, for some reason. Pillock. They've still got Onouha or Savic, despite their injuries, suspensions and players on international duty.
I doubt players are running to sign up with their youth system! That Onouha seems quite a decent player actually
As the old saying goes, two's Kompany, three's a suspension. When do they play Loserpool in the cup, this week? a bit of luck they'll get another couple sent off.
Yeah, I rate him, too. Versatile, still pretty young, probably pretty pissed off... might be worth signing.
We have faced him a couple of times and he has done f**k all so I wont hold my breath - will also lack match fitness massively!
By loss of Ade - are you referring to the Africa Cup of Nations? I thought he wasn't playing for Togo anymore - and judging by the recently uploaded training pictures (on Spurs' facebook) - Adebayor is still with us and training.
He's come out of international retirement and will be available again. They didn't qualify for the ACON without him though. Daft appeal, they're lucky Kompany didn't get an extra game for a frivolous appeal.
Do u guys think this team will work v city? -----Freidel-------- Walker-King-Kaboul-BAE --Sandro/Livermore----- -----Parker--Modric----- Azza----VDV-------Bale I would acctually really like to see this team play, it would be good to try and soak up some pressure for city, (let them pass the ball around on the half way line) and be DEADLY on counter attack, with bundles of pace It worked V Villa
