Its actually quite sad, we will never see Nick Barmby in the black and amber of Hull City again. What a fantastic player he was.
Great news, glad to hear it's finally been sorted and a rolling 12 month contract makes sense for both parties. I do concur with some people's views on here that NB could well become our longest serving manager. I predict 20 years as our manager before moving on to become England manager
There was a report in 2005 into football managers by Warwick University. A win ratio of 54.55% was the 9th best in the country at that time.
You idiot. If the strikers had had there shooting boots on then it would have been 9 wins and 2 draws from his 11 games. May i suggest that you watch before posting.
Great news but hardly a surprise. Good Luck Nick as all true and loyal Tigers fans are right behind you. WE ALL KNOW THAT YOU KNOW WHAT YOU ARE DOING. A manager that the players can look upto and respect far more than the last one. Both Nick and Wigley can help Stewart work out how to beat 2 markers. Wigley was a great winger in his playing days for those who never saw him play. Great team behind you Nick and PL hear we come. UTT Barmby Army Barmby Army.
Surely a manager's priority is for his team to win more games than they lose, something which NB is currently doing. Obviously the wins over loses margin could be bigger, but there's probably countless other managers who probably think the same. I'm not saying you're having a pop at Nick, it just seems like a glass half empty approach to things.
Couldn't be more irrelevant, in all honesty. please log in to view this image I'm ecstatic he's taken over, I'm saying that whilst 6 wins from 11 games is good for a first-time manager, I hope he can improve on the 5 defeats that accompanied them (i.e. turn a couple of them into draws)
Yeah hopefully with a bit more experience he can turn those defeats into draws or wins. It's all part of a learning curve I guess.
My God Viking Erik dont you look sad. But Thanks for that picture of you at school. Pity its in black and white.
I've only just read the Amber Nectar article on Barmby. Outstanding piece of writing. Doesn't really tell us anything we don't already know about the man, just nicely put.
Great news on Nick. Read a couple of decent blogs on him today. Feeling very positive for future now I think. http://daringtodream.footballunited.com/2012/01/10/nick-barmby-hull-city-manager/ http://www.ambernectar.org/blog/2012/01/a-tribute-to-nick-barmby-the-player/
Maybe a good idea to merge the thread ""HAS BARMBY SIGNED YET"" into this one. Its great news but no real surprise.
