Yea, silly money has been sent...It's a tricky one... For me, I would probably sell. I stated on another article about our abundunce of talent in midfield, especially if we get Josh. 10 million is a lot, and I wouldn't stop Joe going to Man u...I'm pretty sure he said he has support manu since he was young?
That's my point really. Also, even if we do go down, all of our squads values have skyrocketed so if we need to raise funds we'll easily be able to raise some funds through one or two sales, sad as it will be to see anyone move on.
it was only two weeks ago that some were saying joe has been useless, so £10 million is £5 million more than i would pay for him today, he plays well against some clubs and then cant hack it against others, he has not been brilliant all season and a lot of the time just average, he has the talent and he is young and thats what the big sides go for.
I've not seen anyone on here calling Joe useless Dai, think your being economic with the facts mate, he had a few under par performances, coming back from his red, that's all! Anyway you have no influence over the decision thank goodness!................... please log in to view this image
Big money? £10million for Allen, when others such as Henderson, Ox etc are worth nearly double? I don't think so. We don't need the money and I doubt Joe would want to go. If he did, then okay, don't stop the lad. But, he has taken a huge step coming from the CCC and boy has he done it well. One of the best youngsters if the PL with so much responibility on his head. Can anyone name another youngster that pulls the strings in midfield in the PL??? Doubt it. Keep him, do not even consider selling, unless of course he wishes to go, nobody can deny him the chance of a big club. But, I think he has sense and he would stay given the otpion. Joe is a great lad and I am shocked to see so many saying we should sell for a measly £10million.
The problem with what your saying about we could get a good replacement for 5 million Dai is As a club our wage structure is so tight that we may well be able to replace Allen for 5mil (although i doubt it) BUT a player commanding a 5mil transfer fee is going to want a hell of a lot more money in wages than we are willing to give. I don't know but i don't imagine any of our players are on much over 20grand a week and allen probably on a lot less than that. So although we could bring in someone for 5mil and sell Allen for 10 million this would be detrimental to us as we would lose the majority of thy profit on inflated wages and more than likely a lesser player. However, as article says I don't think Rodgers would or should stand in his way if they came knocking. Would be up to club to get best deal possible if they did
personally if i was Joe i would not leave, being greedy i would like to play every match, at Man U would i get that opportunity - i doubt it
