My best Premier League years were when he was playing alongside Pires, Ljungberg, Viera, Cole, Campbell, Lehmann, Wiltord.. They say you should never go back. I'm afraid this transfer may be a little pointless, and may tarnish certain Gooners memories of him. I hope I'm wrong.
you missed out the best of them all, my personal favourite (non hull city) footballer, dennis bergkamp.
It may well happen like that. It seems that he lets frustration get to him more going by what has happened to him in the MLS.
****! Although to be fair, he was on the downfall in the period that I'm talking about as I didn't start watching Premier League football until around 2002/03. Obviously I still appreciate what a quality player he was.. One match will stay in my mind forever. In fact, I even remember the whole CL group stage. A terrible start meant to the CL group - 0-3 vs Inter, 0-0 vs L. Moscow and 1-2 vs Kiev - meant that it was win or bust vs Kiev second time around.. diving header from Ashley Cole in stoppage time.. 1-0. But that Inter Milan game.. my God. 5-1 to the Arsenal.. I remember everything from that match like it was yesterday. Arsenal remain my favourite Prem team but they've gone to **** now.. should never have let the likes of Vieira and Henry go so cheap - in fact, Vieira was sold after scoring the winning penalty in the FA Cup for Arsenal. His last kick for Arsenal remains their last ever competition win. Wow, I'm more of a Gooner than I thought! I'm going to go and reflect on Wembley and the Emirates now to push City back ahead of them in my mind
I can remember watching the United team of the 90s but wasn't quite old enough to appreciate how good that team was so I also have the same sentiments as you towards that Arsenal team. You only have to look at how things have gone for them since that team of invincibles left to appreciate just how good that team was, out of the current Arsenal side only Van Persie would get into that Arsenal team of 8-10 years ago imo.
The game is ****e. Leeds have come to be dirty and keep everyone behind the ball and Arsenal are doing themselves no favours either. Oxlade-Chamberlain and Ramsay look a class apart, everyone looks ****, including Arshavin.
Ramsey has been so impressive every time I've seen him play this season. He looks like he will be a quality player for many years to come.
