I remember once he spent the whole of his show talking about how Shearer didn't join Newcastle over Man United because he was loyal, but because he bottled playing for a big team. The day after we were crowned champions in the CCC, he was refusing to give an ounce of credit to the work Hughton did saying that anyone could have got us promoted with our team.
Of course that was the case didn't listen to him back then, so can't judge that but weren't we Man Utd's main rivals when we signed Shearer.

I don't listen to the show regularly but I remember listening a few months back when they were debating about whether England friendlies should be played in other grounds like St James', and he was a complete twat then, not accepting that fans not from down south might not have the time or money to travel to Wembley. He just banged on about how Wemlbey was an experience .
