    Thanks for merging the threads <ok> Injuries held him back in the end unfortunately, looked decent when he played but if his injury problems aren't going to clear up anytime soon then we've made the right decision.

    Shame as he looked to have something different. Then again Nick is bringing in better so room has to be made.

    He's one that could have done okay if he'd stayed fit, but with Brady now signed for the rest of the season and two new faces likely to join in the next week or so, we really didn't need him.

    I quite liked him though, I hope he gets another club sorted fairly quickly.

    It is odd, as it was definitely reported as a deal for the rest of the season at the time(though Barmby confirmed he was out of contract on Saturday).

    I think I heard it on Radio at the time that Pearson only signed him until January to prove himself. But hey, he's gone now. I met, him and seemed like a decent bloke.

    Any news on Hamill now then?

    I reckon the two 'nailed-on' for this week are King and a reserve goalie. maybe even Rob Peet?

    I'm assuming we've already given a contract to Peet, otherwise we couldn't have had him on the bench on Saturday.

    He's from Melton, maybe we signed him as he's within walking distance of our new ground. <whistle>

    I'm more then likely incredibly wrong on this one but I thought you could play players that are on trial in cup games

    As far as I know, you can only play trialists in reserve games, not in any competitive games.
