Just the other week you were arguing to the hilt about how we are still a 'big' side, yet you don't see how releasing a DVD of a win over Man Utd contradicts this? Ridiculous.

 

I know what your saying but we released a DVD the last time we tonked Man utd and we were a Big side then.

 

Don't care what anyone says but we hadn't beaten Man Utd in over 10 years and the fact we won comfortably is worth celebrating more than any game last year, and it was also more enjoyable but me personally I don't see the point of buying a one off DVD.

 

It isn't ridiculous at all. I've never argued that we are a big "side", we are a big CLUB. There is a difference. We are still behind the top 6, based on the quality of our squad.

We were on the end of a very tough run of games and form. We needed to start picking up points and not many expected us to win the game. The stadium was packed full, the atmosphere was amazing and it was one of the best performances of the season, if not the best.

Two quality goals and a memorable win over the champions, somethings which we haven't enjoyed for 10 years.

Give over all you miserable sods.

I think the 5-0 was a bit different though, we were right up there with them at the time, and on how many occasions have United ben beaten by that margin in the Premier League era?
I just think it's abit stupid, although saying that, not as bad as when Blackpool released a DVD of beating us 1-0 in the Championship. That really was ridiculous.

 

I wouldn't buy it for myself but I will buy it for a friend living in Singapore who coudn't see the match due to the time difference.

 

I can't even be bothered to argue with you about this, I've learnt from previous experience it never gets anywhere. Let's just agree to disagree, shall we?

 

Got it saved in HD anyhow, why pay for a DVD in worse quality!

It may well have been a great victory, but it contradicts what Pardew has been saying since he's been here. Pardew has constantly said that we're a big club, yet this video is something that say, Crystal Palace would release after they beat Man U. It's hardly what a big club does is it? It was by no means a great game and worthy of a DVD, all it is going to do is line MA's pockets yet again.

EDIT: Damn you Credit Where It's Pardew, beat me to it.

 

I'll just just retort with this -

 

Honestly, I would have loved to have seen a DVD if we had won, say, 5-0 or something.

3-0 is a superb victory against Man Utd, but it's hardly THAT amazing. Sunderland beat Man City at home 1-0 and that's only 2 goals away from what we did.

 

Well done.

 

Ashley will do anything to make a bit of money. Great win but not DVD worthy.

It probably will sell a bit, but not a lot.

 

Oh come on this is just Mike Ashley taking advantage of Newcastle fans unbelieveable generousity when it comes to buying all things Newcastle. Its just a way of coining in some cash from fans, no more no less.

 

It wasn't a memorable win though, 2 good finishes and an OG whilst playing hoofball isn't memorable, no matter who it's against.

 

Sunderland stuck a DVD out after beating Chelsea 3-1 last season, anyone who says they are small minded for doing so then implies that about ourselves.
