    Giving all thats happening, not happening.

    I wanna see Jermain Defoe join us if nothing else.

    He's the only striker I can think of that has the necessary Premiership experience, goals record, talent, natural goal scoring ability and more importantly of all... IS ACTUALLY AVAILABLE.

    If we were to say to him here is the No.9 shirt, you'll have a season of first team football. The lad would finish off with 20 goals at least. As well give us some much needed substance up front.

    His record in the Prem last year wasn't great, but I look at that as a chance to get him cheaper than if he had a blinder and Spurs will be more compliant to let him go.

    Get him in.

    Would probably take a gamble on him but his agent has already said he doesn't fancy a move to the North East, and his wages would be astronomical I'd imagine which would rule him out anyway.

    Well if he turned us down then thats fair enuff, but we shud still try and get him.

    (really trying not to be pessimistic - but we probably wont given current 'policy' and 'incompetence')

    There are many striker options we could pursue but considering your own negative stance on all things NUFC, do you really think Ashley would fork out a huge transfer fee for a player of Defoe's age and then pay the midget a fortune in wages?

    Why even bother 'wanting players that are over 26 years old. They just not coming to NUFC nor would the sensible supporters want such an overrated goalscorer. Apart from being a good finisher (like Bent) he's ****e and literally offers **** all else to a team. The main reason he's out of favour at Spurs.

    To be honest I would like to concentrate integrating the great HBA. To do this we need a big man up top. Defoe is not a big man.
