I'm glad but I just can't help but feel NP must be getting encouragement from somewhere, especially when he's being so public about it. Anyway it's a good firm stance from AP, just hope it doesn't backfire

A sudden (albeit unlikely) transfer request from Stewart? A mega-ridiculous bid? I don't know.

A good statement but it won't stop them bidding again.

All we need now is Cameron to publicly say he doesn't want to leave (via twitter?) to put this to bed once and for all.

    THAT won't happen.

    In football, NEVER say NEVER.

Must admit tho, you would think Adam would not say the kind of things he has said if he has any doubt the player would stay.

It couldn't be much clearer and it's reassuring to hear the language used.

Cameron did tweet about not being interested in a move to Leicester, but the tweet was almost immediately deleted after it was mentioned on Blunderside.

unfortunately there are only two motivators in football today. Fear from insecurity and greed. If Leicestan, or anyone else offers either or both of these then look out for the dust as Cameron states: "Since I was a kid at Man Utd, I ve always wanted to play for Leicester (or whoever the largest bidder is)"

I reckon that Nigel Pearson is teasing out any other potential suitors early doors. If he goes, he will go for £3.5 million plus and it might well NOT be Leicestan.

I thought Pearson had already publically stated they weren't doing any business with Leicester? I hope this doesn't mean they might sell him to another club, maybe Man U might be regretting letting him go and they are one club that will be monitoring him closely for sure.

Had no idea about the tweet, wonder what the Leicester fans think about that.

Never say never but come on fellas, how clear do you want it.................?
AP says it's never gonna happen, the board say it's never gonna happen which I suspect was instrumental in NB pledging his allegience on a full time basis, CS says he doesn't want away including the deleted tweet added to which it's NP/Leicester who we have publicly said we don't want to deal with.
    Have a bit of faith!
If after all these statements we went and sold him they'd all look like complete fools, it would be thrown in their faces forever, NB would doubtless see his arse and we'd all be sat wondering what the hell was going on...
    So £5m then.....<doh><doh><doh>

I think a few on here are suffering from that. Having watched a few of these cat and mouse things over the years, my instinct is that Cam will still be here in Feb. :) :) :)

Don't give that paranoid "Used to Be" lunatic any fodder. Queue........him..........now

The thing about that is the Stewart has only played 20 odd games. Any other suiters would only be from the Prem. Can you honestly see any Premiership clubs buying a player who has only played 20 odd games and has just come back from major injury? I can't. I think at the prices we are talking about it is only going to be Lesteristan and that will be because Mr. Personality knows very well what Stewart is capable of.

If Stewart performs well between now and the end of the season you could be right. This window, no chance.

Assem has told AP he will not do business with Leicester on any player, at any price.

There might be a massive offer that tested that stance, but until there is, I think we're laughing.

They'll either deny anything of the sort ever happened or they will say it is a "Come and get me" call.

They are as made as a bag of frogs, you know!

    two things ,
The move , or any move will only happen if the PLAYER wants it or that the club is happy to traded (not dissimilar to how we got Pearson from Leicester) , this is'nt 18th century maritime England.
2nd on the tweet , that may well be his opinion , But no player or manager with any sence will ever burned their bridges , so just incase the club wobble with a £5mill bid (and fantastic wages), the tweet is pulled.

its quite clear , under current circumstances neither the player or the club desire a move , but i suspect if either are tempted , then it will happen - and if either ARE tempted then a move should happenbecause,
who want a player at a club who isnt welcome ? or who wants a player at city who wants out ???

I have faith after hearing Adam's comments. Even though they say he is not for sale, every player has a price. I think 3.5 million is the minimum we will want and i cannot see anybody paying that for him

With respect if Mr. Allam says he won't sell to Lesta, he won't sell to Lesta. Seems it's a matter of principle with him. And he is the man who on principle stumped up £30m in cash to save this club, rather than wait to pick up the peices on the cheap. And I think at the moment his mind is fixed on not selling to anyone. Who would argue with him on that. :) :) :)

It's great to hear. It's weird how times change. This time last season we were trying to ship out every player we could to get the wage bill down, now we are being solid in the transfer market and aren't going to sell anyone we are wanting to keep.

It's great for the supporters, hope they stick to there word!

If we get a silly offer then we sell i think - as long as we have enough time to replace him

I don't think it will come to that though
