He was looking like far more of an attacking threat against Blackburn. After watching the extended highlights on NUFC TV, he had at least 2 or 3 good shots towards goal, and seemed up near the box a lot more than usual. That's not even to mention, of course, the goal he actually managed to score.

Hopefully, he's either formed a much better understanding with Santon now, or Pardew has told him to get forward more, or both. Either way, it's good to see him being more offensive. With him being so defensive up to now, and Obertan being ****e, we've had very little help from the wings from the past few months.

It's because he's getting forward more. He has to sit back to cover Raylor, he can go forward with a lot less weight on his shoulders with Santon at the back. Santon coped with pressure and handled quicker and stronger players.

Jonas' finish was class. I think he could go on and score a few more before the season is out.

He's looking like his old self when playing with Enrique, now that he has a marauding left back behind him who is also more solid defensively. Seems to be getting more crosses in than when he used to just wait for Enrique to do it for him. Great on the counter attack as you just dont know what he'll do.

He looks more attacking now, than when he was with Enrique. Enrique used to get the ball and put crosses in. Now Jonas cuts inside more

With HBA on the opposite side, our toothless wings could become a thing of the past.

    Hopefully.

This. Could not a agree more, Santon was immense and provided good cover for Jonas to attack and Santon would support but manage to get back and defend as well. If they both stay clear of injury, there is gonna be a great partnership developing on that wing.

I'd like to see Jonas get more goals, he deserves it for the hard work he's put in covering Raylor earlier in the season.

Still needs to improve on his crossing though.

Don't know why Jonas doesn't score more. The goals he scores are class and shows he is capable of getting 10 each season imo.

He should target more goals. As an inverted winger he should be expected to score more than he assists.

Aye he never scores a bad goal, although it's rare you see him one on one to be fair.

Yeah, that one v Chelsea was a bit lucky mind :p haha.

I think if he played in the role behind the striker he would get more - has done well the couple of times he has been there. Although, we need him on the wing lol

Chappaz, i know you regard yourself as the fountain of knowledge on this board and the self annointed anti-tash but seriously have a word with yourself man. You are a master of the obvious yourself enough times."our wingers aren't scoring enough" <yikes>, you cant be serious, tell us more oh wise one.
Grow up. Stop trying to ridicule tash as its not exactly a rare occurence that he can write something more insightful than yourself.
