Looking in from the outside (Norwich) I think the board made the correct decision. I am no fan of Warnock (In fact, the oposite is closer to the truth), but he is a very good Championship level manager. There is **** all between most sides in the Championship and so Warnock's style of getting together a group of players that will run through walls for him and each other and creating an 'us v ther world mentality' is often successful. In the prem though, you need a little more than that.

Now is the key time for QPR. The board need to make a quick, but correct decision on Neil's successor ensuring they have maximum time in January to put their mark on the team in regards to personnel.

    Interesting times.

Rangercol, I agree with your comments above about Tony and supernorwich23.

Tony is on twitter at the moment doing his best to field major criticism, still coming across as a top bloke who obviously didn't take this decision lightly.

What's he's done is very brave and hopefully correct.

    Well said agree 100%!!

I think TF and Amit must have had someone lined up before making the announcement today, as you say they are business men and they would have already met and discussed transfer targets, its sad news but hopefully we will be moving onwards and upwards.

i think mark hughes would be really good, solid job for fulham recently mid table we just need 17th,feel for warnock but performances havent helped him also with norwich and swansea doing better and playing better fernandes must of been twitchy.im worried about the squad we need players fast another week to install manager then another scramble to get ordinary plyaers in at the end of the window its never dull loving the rangers is it!

good post col......i still feel very sorry for warnock though......from hero to zero that to me is wrong, he is still a hero to me for the way he turned things around last season and made qpr the best team in the championship. i still think he would have got qpr playing the good football again and would keep you up....i suppose we will never know now but what i do know is whoever his next club is they will have a very good manager with stacks of passion and i hope he will carry on being as outspoken as ever....good luck Mr Warnock sir........ps norwich fans ...get a life and show some respect...

    Spot on Col!

If TF were to leave tomorrow, we'd be up **** creek and be lucky to stay in the Football League, never mind the Premiership!

As always you talk sence Col. Agree with Goldhawk as well, very good point, disturbing as it may be. But one thing I know is if it's Sparky coming in, no nonsense will be tolerated from Joey. That fight only has one winner.

From what I've seen from TF he always rated Neil and was desperate for him to succeed. This was def not taken lightly, and according to Phil Beard this had been discussed for days, WITH Neil included in those conversations. Think that says it all really.

Woke up to the news. Mixed emotions really. Didn't think warnock had the ability to keep us up and we were dying a slow death, but I'm not sure the timing is right. If we can announce someone soon and still make use of this transfer window, then all is good. The clock is ticking....

Have to agree with most posts. I would have loved to see Warnock succeed and lead us forward but the performances have not been good. Noone expects us to win every game but some of the results and performances have not been good enough with the players we have at the club. Onwards and upwards

A post we all seem to be in agreement with. It's tough being a manager, but NW did a job for us and now TF has taken decisive action to ensure NW's efforts of last season aren't undone. A combination of bad luck, a lack of commitment shown by some players and much debated tactics have ultimately cost him his job. I for one have become a little fed up of sympathy received lately - "you're too good to go down" etc. you go down unless you have more points than 3 other teams.

Whoever comes in, I will get behind them and have an expectation that they will come committed and passionate about our club and the opportunity they are presented with.

For the players, they must impress or face a life elsewhere I guess. If they are not fired up for Newcastle, then they never will be.

Joey Barton - love him or hate him, must act like a captain or the new manager has the opportunity to relieve him of that honour.

Ending now, as it started as a 100% agree and I got carried away

    URssssss

Looking forward to anther visit to the UK in the next month and hopefully some cracking results. I aim to be at Villa away and Wolves before returning to Aus. Memories of the last visit - Bolton and Everton games - seem like 2 eras away now
