a further impediment to shrews promo run is that several clubs will have the chance to improve their own promo push next weekend. shrews join cheltenham and crawley in fa cup duty and this will leave us with a game in hand the same as southend.

on friday burton are at home to stanley and on saturday morecambe play cobblers, southend play vale and shots are at home to oxford, and we have the small matter of mondays games. come on shrews pick yourselves up, floreat salopia

Never worry about games in hand. An FA cup game might just be the tonic.

I do worry about Bradford, they are on a very positive run atm, 13 points off 7th is very much a gap they can make up.

1-1, 1-3, 0-0, 0-1, 2-1. our last 5 results, the only way is up but with all our strikers egg bound, we cannot keep relying on defence and midfield to bail town out week in week out. i would like to see 2 new faces up front and 1 in midfield. on the positive front hazell will be back soon, can anyone see any more positives. ok we will try and bring boro back to our fortress and hope for an easy 4th round game at home to the arsenal or chelsea! lol

22 games left, 12 of which are at home, and the only big rival team from the top 8 we're playing away is Swindon. Plenty of time left.

Also, Northampton are a decent enough team, they've made three signings already and two of those started and impressed today - they will stay up I reckon. Not as bad as it may look on paper - I was very impressed with Asante.

more good news, swindon do not have a game next weekend, although oxford and burton can make the top 7 tighter and southendmay improve their place if they beat vale at home. the week after, swindon are away to rotherham and town are at home to gillingham.

so the bottom line is give our strikers plenty of practice at boro and aim to bring them to the fortress for some more practice by our strikers. so all is not lost but we need to start winning again soon, hopefully with the help of our strike force or anyone.

come on you shrews floreat salopia, and proud to be a tinpot

"I would like to see 2 new faces up front"

6 strikers at a league 2 football club?!?

Some people need to step back into reality.
