Hello everyone. Just got back from the game. Never been so disappointed in a Rangers 'team' performance before. The lack of desire and hunger from the players was such a disappointment. I felt sorry for the 5000 fans stood around me, who all paid £20+ to see what I just witnessed. The lack of pressure, running and movement was apalling.

Jamie Mackie was the only positive to come out of this game. His undeniable desire to win games is something that Warnock needs to install in all of the players.
I would have liked to have seen some youngsters given the opportunity to show what they can bring to the team in this game, because obviously there not going to get a chance in the EPL, so why not give them the opportunity? Although our youth academy isnt of the highest standard, I'm sure that there are players with a greater desire to play for the club, and win than those on the field today.

I was also embarassed for our club, and for our fans when MK Dons fans sung; Premiership, you're having a laugh. To which our so called 'supporters' joined in and verbally expressed their discontent at the performance. Chants like that are not doing anything for the morale within the team, and our own players began to turn on eachother instead of supporting eachother due to the verbal enslaught that they had to endure.

Our team needs alot more pace in it, and an alot more direct approach. MK Dons showed us how to counter attack today, and to quickly break. Something that our team could take note of.

    Player Ratings:

Cerny - Commanded his area the majority of the times. Solid shot stopper. Never looks like getting beat from a poor effort on goal.

Hill - Lack of desire to get forward and support the attack. Solid defending.

Hall - Should be banned from playing football at this level. His long punts contribute nothing positive to the team. If he was 3 inches smaller he wouldnt have made it as a footballer.

Gabbidon - Solid defender, and looks to play it out from the back. Faster than I thought he'd have been before he came to the club, but speed is still lacking from our team.

Young - Tried to support the attacks, but sometimes doubted his own positioning and experiences when debating whether to support or hold.

Derry (Buzsaky 77) - Derry was solid as usual. Doesn't take anything away from the team, but also doesnt contribute a massive amount either. In the Premiership you need every player to bring something different to the team.

Faurlin - Short passes were almost always completed, but some of his passes lacked any penetration, or didnt encourage the ball to move forward. Alot of backwards and sideways passes.

Campbell (Helguson 61) - Shocking performance from DJ Campbell. For someone who apparently supports the club he ran minimal. Didn't look interested.

Mackie - The only positive to come out of this game. Jamie Mackie's heart and desire to win.

Smith - One of very few players who ran forward with the ball. Added an attacking threat.

Macheda (Bothroyd 71) - Macheda had some great touches, and linked up nicely with DJ Campbell but he is obviously lacking match fitness. Bothroyd got the crowd going in the last few minutes as he brought a fresh momentum to the game.

Warnock - Not good. I really want him to be given the chance to succeed at this club, but his tactics, his team talks, his team selection, his substitutes just arent cutting it. Bothroyd and Helgusson were good sibsitutions. But, we shouldnt have had to wait till the 71st minute (when Bothroyd was introduced) to see encouraging signs in the team.

This is a team full of players who apparently have something to prove. Warnock has got Traore, SWP, Macheda, Bothroyd, and many more who he wanted to bring to the club to fufill their potential and prove their worth. However, none have really began to do that. This is also a team with iminent incoming arrivals. The scary part of that is of course the fact that noone looks like they have anything to prove, or offer that any new signing might have. These players should be fighting for their position in the team

    Good attendance today...

Welcome to the board 55. Interesting and well constructed report.

Dowie on SSN rated Hall's efforts today but other than that most of what you've said relects what others have.

I think that this result today just reinforces the need to get players in that want to play for the shirt rather than just be happy to sit back, do fook all and get paid extremely well for doing so.

I cant remember the last time Hall wasnt slated. Im pretty sure that people now pick up on any little mistakes more than other players.

I particularly remember that this was the case against Swansea where he was one of our best players on the pitch and still got slated.

Doesnt mean he didnt have a bad game but some should look at him at bit more objectively rather than the reputation he's been given on these boards.

Hall does generally get more stick than he deserves but he was astonishingly poor today.

I actually thought Mackie was one of our disappointing players today. He didn't seem quality on the ball. He works hard but I think that's the only way he can play.

Warnock obviously did well with a team talk as they came on better but that fizzled out. His substitutions were ok, ok and good. The good one being HH. Tactics were obviously better in the 2nd half as they seemed more of an imminant threat. With that said, the whole show could have been a lot better, which Warnock has a lot of responsibility for.

Just shows how we all see things differently. I thought Hall was our best defender today and I thought Mackie, although he undeniably ran his heart out was very poor. I also thought Smith was abysmal!!

Yeh, I think you might be right. Fitz Hall gets alot more stick than he deserves. But it just baffles me how he can get into our first team when he contiunally mis-kicks the ball, and aimlessly punts it upfield to our opposition.
And again with Mackie, maybe it wasn't his greatest performance, but his desire and work rate should be something that the whole squad should be aspiring for. If we had a few more players with his desire I dont think we would be as close to this relegation dog fight as we currently are.
You're also right with the fact that Warnocks team talk did seem to prove to be quite effective in the opening exchanges in the first half, but his tactical choices and team selection doesn't allow the squad to reach their potential. At times we were playing with Macheda and Smith on the right wing, when all that was needed was someone on the opposite touch line to switch the play too. The full backs also seem very unsure on whether to support play or just hold their position. Against a team like MK Dons, they should be attacking at most opportunities.

I don't think we can justify anyone's performance today. I also fail to see why he didn't give Bruno Andrade a run out? The lad could be our bright spark in the future and he's very lively. It's hardly as if NW was taking it deadly seriously otherwise we wouldn't have performed the way we did.

I too would of liked to have seen Andrade today. I saw him warming up, and couldnt help thinking.... If hes in the squad, surely he's good enough to play.

The least a young lad full of enthusiasm is going to do is run for you and show a bit of flamboyancy. Take Nathan Redmond at Birmingham, granted he is a class above for his age but that naivety sometimes works for you against lesser sides

Cheers Jalfrezi. Very frustrating day. I feel sorry for all the QPR fans that had to travel up to see that today. Thankfully I live near the stadium, but despite that the journey home felt unbelievably long after witnessing that performance.

Yeah I took the liberty of bringing Mrs Elnino to the game today. I think its safe to say she won't be coming back with me.....I think even at one point I heard her shout out "Bring back Paul Hart" (only kidding) a shout which I think might have been the last time I've heard Ranger's fans utterly gutted with a manager at QPR, coincidentally that was in the FA Cup replay vs Sheff Utd a few year back

    Just read something scary....

Warnock: "Whatever you say about us, you can't fault us for our effort." ................. Really?

Fair enough, it was an achievement to come back from 1-0 down, away from home, with ten players. But we should never have been in that situation in the first place.

I spent most of the afternoon and early evening in A&E with a son who has seriously screwed up his knee ligaments playing rugby.
Sounds like I was in the better place.....

You know when your team is in the mire when the manager continually bangs on about his players effort.NW has nothing else to say.His post match comments are all pre recorded.Win lose or draw he says the same thing.
