Hi guys, this is my first time posting here. Not an expert in the game, but love to watch it.

I would say i am a Green Bay Packers fan, which stems from playing an NLF game on the PC and choosing them and winning.

Just a question, can anyone beat the Packers this season?? Having just beaten the Giants at the death its got me thinking.

Even when they play badly like tonight they still manage to scrape through, but when they play well they are unstoppable. If only they could plug the leaking defense.

I really hope the niners can, supported them since 1985 or so and they have been pretty much **** ever since lol

But at the minute I would say no, and home field advantage in the play-offs, definitely not a nice place to go Lambeau Field in the winter, but you never know, they may start to slack off and keep some of their stars for the play-offs, so they may not go 16-0, but for the Super bowl they are going to take some beating.

I have to agree about Lambeau Field, its not a nice place to go any time of year, but in winter its particularly harsh.
I would not complain if they went 12-4 if they then went to win the Super Bowl. I would be surprised if they did go unbeaten, especially as they tire. I think last nights game proved that.

i really though that the only team that stood a chance against the Packers this season was going to be the bears when we play them next (i am a bears fan so possibly a bit biased) however we seem to always play you quite close. It could be familiarity with the system you run or whatever but Rodgers doesn't tend to have stellar games against us. Add into it that our offence was starting to click and i though we might have given them trouble. Obviously now with Cutler out and Forte out i don't even think we will make the playoffs. I don't think the 49ers will hang with them, just don't think Alex Smith has what it takes think the only NFC team which now poses a threat are the Saints for me.

Write the 49ers off at your peril! We arent 10-2 by fluke. No.1 ranked scoring defense, No.1 against the rush, not allowed a rushing TD all season and in 32 consecutive games, I think, No.1 in takeaways, highest turnover differential in the league. Add to that a dominant run game and a passing offense that is being opened up by Harbaugh a little bit more, week by week. Alex Smith may not be Rodgers or Brees or Brady, but he can certainly cut it!

If your asking if they can be beaten in the regular season then I would say no. However the play-off's are a different animal and strange thing's can happen in the play-off's. I would imagine the Giant's would not fear going to Lambeau, they have won there quite recently and in 07 when the Giants won the Superbowl they beat the Packers and Dallas on the road before beating the Patriots in the Superbowl.

So its the Chiefs who have stopped the run. All in all an ok game. Although i think it a fair result.

It might be a blessing in disguise for the Packers with this loss to the the Cheifs. It may well be that they were thinking about the unbeaten season, though the management wont say that they were. They are current Champs so i feel that they can keep the momentum that they have going.

The only thing is, and its been proven in the past, the play-offs can be a strange animal and some results come that you never thought could happen...

Im with GCGE's and think its the Bears that can cause the upset and trip the Packers up but in truth they are very, very strong. The stats back them up and the form will not dip much after this latest set back...

Packers to still win the Superbowl... But it wont be plain sailing...

It truly was a shock, but with a defence conceding points left right and center, you would worry that it was always going to happen. I was afraid i might have spoken too soon, and i had. But it makes things very interesting.

It was one of them games last night that when the Packers look back at the replay, if they have the bottle, they will all be saying 'what if...?'

Too many bad mistakes at this level and you will get punished. To be fair to the Giants they would have took some stopping and it could have turned out to a who scores the last points in the game had Green Bay took there chances. The Giants under Manning looked solid and the 3rd down conversions they got out of were truly amazing...

But the Packers will look back at that and know they just didnt perform or reach the standard of play we know they can. And as if to really rub salt into there own wounds the Hail Mary at the end of the 1st half was a real turning point for me. Had they stopped the run before hand, Giants gained 20 yards out of a play that was basically trying to get into field goal range. Then the Packers have a 3 or 6 point game to pull back... But that run then the TD really hurt them and they just never looked like getting the 10 point gap back...

A shock win for the Giants, maybe. But the fact that the Packers had the worst defence against the pass tells you all you need to know. The Giants knew this, Manning knew this and although the Packer knew it they were defenceless to stop it...

Well done Giants, through gritted teeth being a Redskins fan, and i look forward to next weekends Championship match ups...
