It would be pretty ridiculous to punish the majority of non racists liverpool fans, just find the ones responsible and give them bans. All clubs have these idiots even Newcastle (remember the Mido incident?)

    Did I say that?

Racism is a serious matter, I've heard Ashley Cole catch much worse from our own fans and he didnt break down in tears.

Because it was Liverpool, and what happened with Suarez - its a 'big' story.

But the way that the entire playing squad, and manager, have refused to condemn the actions of Suarez despite his blatant guilt mean that it would be a just punishment. They do the opposite and actually support him like nothing wrong occurred.

If I had a friend that was found guilty of using racially unacceptable language I'd let them know exactly what an idiot they've been, not wear a t-shirt trying to glorify them.

I agree that dogliesh supprting Suarez is stupid , but my point is that playing behind closed doors wouldn't be right as the majority of the fans have done nothing wrong.

Every club have fans that are ****s, however with this coming just after Liverpool's inept handling of the Suarez situation and basically supporting racism and with the fans who abused the player wearing Suarez shirts and shouting Suarez chants as well, you have to think that the two are linked.

I've been racially abused (happened to be in Liverpool) and quite frankly its the worst feeling ever. I admit I did not break down in tears etc but I haven't stepped on that street since. I feel for the guy, people react differently and he had every right to let his emotions out. Some people on here.............

World Football promotes the 'Kick it out' campaign. I know its only the minority but Fifa and the Fa
need to be seen to be clamping down on it. Has there not been cases like this where the club have been fined
    for not controlling their fans?

The bindippers are getting off lightly so far in my opinion. People are making it out like it was just a few fans involved.

I watched the game, when the player got wound up most of the stadium started singing the name Luis Suarez...

I don't think it's fair to say he was trying to get his five minutes of fame. His reaction was clearly spontaneous and just because you might see certain players being able to 'take it' doesn't mean their way of dealing with it is any more grown up or reasonable. I don't think it is a mountain out of a molehill, I think it's a massive mountain and I think more players should stop the game and get the ref and police's attention so that the authorities and everyone else who has to sit around these idiots while they spout their rhetoric can have a bit of vindication. It is disgusting that the public, the clubs and the authorities allow this to still be happening in modern society. No one wants to see the run of play broken up any more than it is but I think there are exceptions to the rule.

The only way to stop the crowd abusing players racially in any way shape or form is to play all matches behind closed doors. You hear the same old stuff at nearly every ground.

It would do the game alot of good to get rid of racism that goes without saying but I dont want to see football being played behind closed doors.

Absolutely disgusting IMO. Yes there may have only been a few people who said racist words, but then for the cop to start chanting Suarez's name after recent events is despicable.

For those saying they here it all the time and other players just take it. The lad is 20 and people take things in different ways. So, IMO, that argument is void.

I'm of the opinion that Suarez is not a racist. But what I cannot understand is LFC's refusal to accept that he used a word that is seen as racist in this country towards a player. I can't help but feel that the way LFC handled the Suarez case has led for some fans to think it's acceptable when it isn't.

Crying is a bit OTT like but the chanting should be acted on, i'm not counting on anything being done, the FA are all talk and are as spineless as FIFA.

All the people saying his reaction was OTT, are you talking from experience of all the times you've been racially abused by perfect strangers?

Presumably Liverpool will be striving to identify the fans in question, ascertain their guilt and dole (pun intended) out bans as required, and that will be the end of this particular incident.

The problem for me is the lack of any attempt to condemn this, or the tweets at Collymore, or any of the other stories we've heard recently. This following the t-shirts and failing to put any blame on Suarez have allowed this racist minority (and it absolutely is a minority, I've no doubt whatsoever that most Liverpool fans are normal folk) to believe that the club is effectively 'on their side'. Just one convincing interview with Kenny, or someone on the board stating theres no place for it would be nice, and if Liverpool as a club are charged for anything it should be for failure to act on this series of events to nip it in the bud.
