Hi all, last night I was at the Wycombe v Huddersfield game last night and could not believe how good that Rhodes is. He scored 5 (admittedly against a defence from the local pub, or at least that is how they played) but he was all over the place for the whole game and was a constant thorn in the oppositions side all game. He now has 25 goals halfway through the season and I think that this is definately a player that we should aim to buy in the JTW. Maybe we could do a deal with them, seeing as they are apparently interested in SSL maybe SSL and cash would make them amenable to a deal. ............Thoughts anyone?.............
I hope not, I don't actually think he would be ready for that yet, it would maybe be a step to far too soon, maybe a few months in the champ with the Foxes and then the Prem next season again with the Foxes
Spurs scouts were at last night game, Scholes has now been to watch him four times for Man United and Liverpool scouts have also been watching him, when you're getting that sort of interest, it's likely that someone from the Premier League will have a go. Our chief scout was also at last nights game, though I'm not sure why, we're never going to bid the sort of money that would be required to sign him(£4m release clause apparently).
This makes a nice pleasant change to have a civilised conversation with you OML instead of a mud slinging contest..............Long may it last dude . Ps. I hear that Barmby has now retired from playing to concentrate on being Manager full time, you could do worse, good luck to him
I'm quite reasonable most of the time. Nick's due to sign on Monday, we were rather hoping that he'd name himself on the bench today and have one last run out before he becomes permanent manager(particularly if Bullard was playing, he absolutely hates him), but it seems it's not to be. It's just been on SSN, that there were scouts from eight Premier League clubs at last nights game, Rhodes could go for some serious money, he looks a real bargain at the £500k the Udders paid(not a great advert for Roy Keane's managerial ability).
Fryatt had 20 goals before Christmas (Rhodes has scored 7 in 2 I think o.o now) so it shows how much it means that even Frystt had scored more than him before Christmas (in arguably a tougher league with the likes of Peterborough, Leeds and Millwall in it) Personally, 4m is a hell of a lot for someone unproven in that league but he plays the perfect style of play for us and i'd be more than happy if he signed for us. Him and Nugent would be class.
Are the rumours true that some of the Leicester backers have pulled out and that NP only has £2m to spend? I find it difficult to believe, if true then there are troubles ahead.
Would it be a good time to declare an end to hostilities between Tigers and Foxes whilst we have this day off from league action? It seems that OLM and Lcfcfox1 are having a love-in. It's getting tedious and this seems a good opportunity.
Never gonna happen, have you seen some of the Billy Big Bo11ock posts that their fans post on fcukstalk? They're full on idiots, either that or most of them are aged about 10, they even put TWS fans to shame in 'we are massive' stakes, yeah seriously they're THAT bad!
He is a very good player but i dont think you will get a decent price for him so we would be best off looking elsewhere. 4M+ is probaly what he would cost and with Billy Sharp and Nicky Maynard cheaper then we would be better off looking elsewhere
That's good news for Leicester fans then. IMO Sharp will be a good signing, you just need to replace all of your midfield and you'll be challenging for promotion!
I personally don't want any of them. How you can stick a price tag of 5m on Stewart who has only played something like 5 good games in a calendar year in quite hilarious. I think Kebe for 1.5m would be a great buy.
Actually we didn't put a £5m price tag on him. Your (current) manager did. You expecting Nugent to be sold now you are in for Sharp? Just you can't sell Beckford (2 clubs already) so you are stuck with a plethora of strikers (if you do get Sharp). Anyway, good luck for the rest of the season.
Three? That rather implies you think some of them are not top strikers. So, if it's Sharp Nugent Waghorn you're stuck with dead wood Beckford, or if Beckford Nugent Waghorn why buy Sharp, etc. etc. anyway, you get my drift. So who are the ones you would unload if you can?
