Who are Ya? (some of this information is courtesy of wikipedia)
Founded in 1905, Chelsea have spent their entire history in the top two divisions, although they had to wait 50 years for their first major silverware, taking the league title in 1955.
Despite their name, the club’s Stamford Bridge ground is not based in Chelsea, but in neighbouring Fulham.
Chelsea last suffered relegation from the top flight in 1988, as a consequence of the re-organisation of the leagues. That season the First Division [Premier League] had contained 21 sides and four teams were relegated in order to reduce the figure to 20. Chelsea went down, finishing 4th from bottom, seven points clear of the next side (Portsmouth!). They promptly won the Second Division by 17 points and have been in the top flight ever since.

When you look at their squad, it is quite a frightening prospect !

Who knows though - as they say, the Cup is a great leveller, and they only just beat us in the pre season friendly at FP.

1-1 draw at their place, and we then beat them 1-0 in the replay with a Marko Futacs goal - well, one can dream, can't one ??

One can indeed dream. I'll be up there on Sunday and there would be nothing better than coming away from Stamford Bridge with any sort of result but as long as I can remember, it's always been barren ground for us. Definite bogey ground.

Oh come on Wooperts - they didn't really beat us, we gifted them a goal, courtesy of TBH, which as my friend pointed out was more than he ever gave them when he played for them.

As far as I'm concerned it doesn't count <whistle>

Just don't want him (or anyone else) giving goals away on Sunday - let them earn their own!

That was quite a full blooded encounter for a friendly wasn't it 3rd eye !

John Terry should have been red carded for his forearm smash on Reg Varney alone - the dirty beast.

Was that before or after the studs in the face stunt?

The record of which is widely available on YouTube by the way.

Yeah - he should have been red-carded, he is a dirty player, and so much more.

My mate's a Spurs fan- so he persuaded me to go to their match v cheltenham with him today !! 3-0 winners- and with Fulham achieving a 4-0 win as well- the London clubs are certainly taking the cup seriously; wonder if Villas-Boas will make the same approach. Reckon he will though- after Chelsea's position in the league- the cup has to be a priority. Any not606ers going ??

    I am <ok>

But - will be sitting somewhere in the (apparently very quiet) home stands, minus my Pompey shirt, and must remember not to jump up and down cheering every time we score <laugh>

They will be without Didier Drogba and Salomon Kalou (both playing for Ivory Coast) so that should make Hendo feel a bit relieved.

Well we did'nt really get smashed but the result says it all. The lads did OK. They worked very hard to compete and went in at half time still level. Eventually class and fitness told but they can hold their heads up high and leave the bridge with a lot of credit.
