Ive been saying for the last 4 transfer windows that Samba should be our number 1 target. We certainly should have gone for him when he handed in his transfer request the other year. He is imo one of the best two CBs in the league along with Vidic and could easily get a place in any team.

I would be extremely disappointed if we lost out on him to a top 4 side, but I'd be absolutely distraught if he ended up moving to QPR.

Also, regardless of how many CBs we currently have at the club or even how well they are playing, if a better player becomes available for any position that would improve on what we have then we would be stupid not to go for them. And for the money that is being mentioned so far, it would be an absolute steal for any club.

Is Samba out of contract this season? If not it will be a bit more than 5m. Also agree that I would be very suprised if Rovers let him go (if under contract)
I also think we don't need a CH. More important for a full back, (passing) CM and a CF.
Would love Hoilett, but he will go to a (so called) bigger club I suspect.

A striker first please, Samba is a good CB he had a gret game at SoL, but I would prefer if MoN and team saved the pennies and brought in a goal scorer

In that case I would say 10m +. Very solid player though. (swap for Ricco)?? <laugh>

Samba won´t be going anywhere for 5million, that´s ludicrous.

Likely all QPR have done by going in so low is started a scramble, which will mean he goes for more.

If we paid 10million for Samba, i´d think he was a cracking buy, he is superb.

Him and Brown could be a cracking pairing.

Would love Samba, but QPR are just the starting bidders,. but first off we need a goal scorer desperately.

is samba the best c.h. in the prem? i reckon he is and is worth around 3 or 4 times more than qpr offered, can't see him signing for anyone outside the top 5/6.

If he's got 3.5 years on his contract, I reckon you could offer £20 million for him and still get turned down. If he leaves, Blackburn will very probably get relegated, and that'll cost them a lot more than £20m. I know he's unhappy there so I could see them saying 'stay till summer and we'll let you go then'. But it would be suicidal for a club in Blackburn's current position to sell him in January. I can't see them doing that.
