Let's be honest, goal scorers of that calibre cost £30m upwards and very few players in that bracket will come to the NE and that's if Fat Mike gives you the money to reinvest. If he does have a get out clause I think it will be reasonably low. You's best pray you keep him, really.

 

Sell him for 30+ and get another 20+ goal scorer on a free for next season. Simple really.

I heard it on talksport yesterday. That fat prick Jason Cundy asked a local journalist if Ba has a buy out clause for no reason and apparently it's about 7 mil.

 

7m? No way, I refuse to believe that. Maybe a 7m relegation release clause like the free transfer one he had with West Ham. If Jabba and Llambyarse are to be believed, Demba has cost us a small fortune in fees etc. I hardly think they're going to take the risk they have (some say up to 5m-6m in fees) and then insert a clause that says he can leave for 7m. This would leave them taking a huge risk for a 1m or 2m profit? Nah I think its bullshit.

Even if this is false...

We will get inundated with enquries, spend half the window fighting off probably more bids than we would for a player who was going to be in high demand anyways. this will potentially effect our own window and give us less time to bring players in. Unsettle a perfectly happy player and possibly further players in our team. and i dont believe it is so far fetched as to believe it could affect team performance.

A release clause as pitifully low as £7million for someone like Ba must surely be activated by an event like relegation. Surely we would have heard about it before now. If it is just straight up £7mil then Mike Ashley is a ****ing ****** and deserves to lose millions by being forced to sell him for such a pathetic fee.

 

If he does indeed have a release clause, Ba also costs a lot in insurance and he will fail the medical. I doubt Spurs will take the risk, his knee could go at any time, the big clubs will stay well away. Also he costs a lot in Syrup bills
