Anyone else got it? I've been playing it on my iPhone and I didn't think anyone could annoy me more than Andy Gray did with his summarising, but the boy Townsend has managed to pip the baldy ****er. The phone is now set to mute. One good thing about it though - I've booted Glenn Loovens to **** pretty sharpish. If only imitated art
I've absolutely no idea what you're talking about but you know what? That actually makes me happy! <@fifa2012notyou>
Neither had I but this one's really good. Not as good as FIFA in the be a pro/be a legend bits but for head-to-head it's the badger's nadgers again. You'll never score the same goal twice.
Pro Evo 6 (I think) was one of the best football games I've ever had, better than any Fifa but after that one it started going downhill and none have ever been as good since
Joey Barton tweeted something about that game, or some other football game, said he was quitting it because he was pissing himself off
I'm gonna show my age here but I played the FIFA games in the nineties along with loads of other football sims (I'll avoid this getting tooooo geeky) but converted to ISS iwth the first ISS Pro Evolution game for PS1 (you could only play the first ISS game on Nintendo or something I think). 4,5 and 6 were really, really good but it didn't convert well to third gen consoles and the online platform was dreadful. I really liked 5 although some people complained it was too slow, it introduced the concept of having a control button without which your player's touch was awful. Any Pro Evo has been ****e since the 360 and PS3 launched until the current one. There's still issues - licenses, obviously (can overwrite with a DAYMOS option file patch off the net) and some of the fancies players do aren't under the smoothest control. I don't know what it is about it - after a few years of playing FIFA, it felt a lot more free than the EA games - you've more fluid tactical control and there's no guaranteed or even really likely ways of scoring (obviously, having Ronaldo or Messi in your team makes everything easier but I'm a sucker and continue playing online as Scotland or Celtic - Scotland vs Argies all the time and Celtic vs Barca or Real all the time - got more draws than anything and they feel like an actual acheivement). If you loved the old Pro Evo games, it might make you realise what you miss about them now - the fluidity, randomness and it doesn't have the tight formulaic feeling of recent FIFA games. I'm sure a proper reviewer would say FIFA is the better game but the latest Pro Evo reminds me of the best old versions of it. **** me, what a boring post this was.
