Was a bit concerned about my ticket for this game as I hadn't received it and was just about to go over to town to find out what was happening but took a look on the NUFC.com page and they had this advice up.

Regarding advance ticket sales, from what we can gather most fans have been issued with paper tickets but a small number of those who bought their own seats as soon as they went on sale did get them loaded on their smartcard.

If in doubt, best advice is to check in advance with the NUFC box office by phone or in person before Saturday.

Just get there early enough and try out the smart card.

Another example of our ****ty box office.

Yes, there's that to it. Get there just before 3:00 and find out the system isn't working and all hell has broken loose as people aren't being admitted to the ground without a paper ticket.

Was in the Club Shop in the Metro Centre yesterday and they didn't have a clue what was going on.

It's hopeless trying to get tickets via the internet or telephone, we went directly to the box office for ours, we've not taken our own seats though.

I was thinking of taking a couple of my kids up and paying on the gate, what's the chances of it being a full house with massive queues and not getting 3 seats together? £5 for under 16s will attract a lot of people.

They're not opening the whole ground, the top tier's not open. That's why the North-East corner is for away fans. If you're newcastle based, I suggest you get down to the nufc club shop or the stadium box office asap. From the looks of it, the only seats left are behind the Leazes End Goal.
