Due to boredom, let's take a look at previous January windows (not including all reserve players etc.) Looking at it, we haven't done too badly. Some good signings there, but some shockers too.

In - Stephen Ireland (loan), Shefki Kuqi (free), Hatem Ben Arfa (£5.75m)
Out - Andy Carroll (£35m), Xisco (loan), Wayne Routledge (loan)

    Hughton - 2009/2010
In - Wayne Routledge, Mike Williamson, Leon Best, Danny Simpson, Fitz Hall (loan), Patrick Van Aanholt (loan)
    Out - Geremi

    Kinnear - 2008/2009
In - Peter Lovenkrands (free), Kevin Nolan (£4m), Haris Vuckic, Ryan Taylor (for N'Zogbia)
Out - Shay Given (£8), Charles N'Zogbia (for R. Taylor)

    Keegan - 2007/2008
    In - Ole Soderberg
    Out - David Rozenhal (loan)

    Allardyce - 2007/2008
    In - Nobody important
    Out - Fatty Matty Patty

    Roeder - 2006/2007
    In - Oguchi Onyewu (loan)
    Out - Nobody

    Souness -
    2005/2006 - Nobody
    2004/2005
In - Celestine Babayaro (£1m), Jean Alain Boumsong (£8m) <yikes>, Amdy Faye (£2m)

Montpellier sensation Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa admits he is flattered with the interest being shown in him.

Speaking to Sky Sports, the 22-year-old revealed he is pleased to learn the likes of French champions Lille and Newcastle are both reported to be following him.

Born in the Central African Republic, Yanga-Mbiwa is a France Under-21 international and has emerged as one of the most highly-rated young defenders in Europe.

"I am flattered by the interest from the French champions, but there is no agreement between the clubs, so I am still here with Montpellier," he told Sky Sports.

"Newcastle are interested? Well it means my performances have crossed the country.

"My dream league has always been the Premier League, so you never know.

"But for me if Montpellier have to agree a fee with a team, then who knows? But I would love to play one day in England."

Still makes me angry. Sell a class left back in Bernard and replace him with a **** left back in Babayaro, who cost more money and get rid of Bellamy who was in sensational form at that time. Boumsong for ****ing £8m and he was awful, Faye is probably even worse than Perch - in fact, definetly worse!

I'm still convinced the Boumsong deal was as bent as a rubber ring. Clearly that was Souness's pension. He's still spouting off on CL footie as being knowledgeable!!!!

As for Bellamy, that was his first task as Fat Freddie got rid of SBR as a result of Bellamy's conduct.

The right time for it, that was when all that **** went down with Willie McKay or whatever he's called.

Also, and may I make it clear that this is all ALLEGED hearsay, we sold Woodgate to Real because his girlfriend was involved in the drugs trade, and Freddy Shepherd wanted to be clear of all that. Allegedly.

Keep track? How many players do you think we'll sign? Even if we sign 8 players, if you can't keep track of who the new ones are off the top of your head, then shame on you!

Think it'll be a while before we see anyone come in anyway. Looks like the Hesakmi deal has been stalled for a couple of weeks.

We need a rap sheet for what we will do if we do sign some of the players above
