everyone with eyes can tell you that Man U are crying out for a defensive lynchpin and midfield maetro to replace scholes.

The way Tiote and Cabaye played last night they were well and truly in the shop window and it can't have been lost on fergie just how awesome they both are when they're at their best.

I hope he doesn't take too much of a shine to them...

I think there are probably bigger names out there that would be available with the right offer (although I can't name anyone off the top of my head!)

The sticking point would surely be the length of contract cabaye and Tiote are on plus the fact they both seem ridiculously happy here :)

Why would anyone want to leave now when it's evident were going to win the league?

Given that a Man U supporting friend of a friend on Facebook said Tiote wasn't a ball-winning midfielder, I think we're safe. :)

Apparently in for Snjieder (sp?) again according to BBC gossip so hopefully he'll leave them well alone.

Only team im worried about is Chelsea. They have always liked Tiote, this may seem strange but I hope Tiote goes to ACON as soon as possible to stop any sort of deal happening.

Chelsea want to sign N'Zonzi according to Sky Sports. Hopefully they get that deal done so can piss off sniffing around Mr T.

Also, I remember while back where Tiote said that he couldn't move to London because it is too big and loud lol.

He's going for less than what we'd accept for Tiote now too, so I can't see Man U in for him.

Can we just enjoy the victory. There aren't really any negatives to take out of this.

so they play well and a big team will buy them, they play badly and they've had their head turned by a big club who's buying them

p.s. De Rossi's in the last 6 months of his contract

Last night will have no bearing whatsoever on whether Man U or any other club comes in. They will already know these two inside out. I expect Cabaye to end up at Man U but think it will either be this summer or next Jan. With Tiote I just don't know what will happen. I hope we can retain his services but I think he'll be a gonna if anything over 25m comes in.

The only way either are going to leave is if we are offered a ridiculous sum. If we got between £55-60 million for both, the club would be one step closer to being self sufficient and we would have enough money to get replacements plus cover for other areas. I dont want them to leave but if they do I'm sure Carr already knows who would be good enough to replace them!

Wouldnt want to lose tiote and i think we would only sell for around 30 million, but then we would have to look at it realistically, that is alot of money and like carroll after the sale he probably wont get to a point to demand such a fee ever again.

as long as it all got reinvested then i have no issues with a potential deal

I think this is where some are unfair to the club. I'm no fan of Ashley, I despise the fat prick, but any club in the land is going to consider offers for any player when they 25m plus. Its a huge risk to take on the buying clubs side, but it gets to the point of being a no brainer on the selling club side. As you say these are vast sums of money we're talking about and they might only come across the table once.
