Judging by the body language of a lot of players on Monday I'd rest almost all of them. So: Mannone McShane Cooper Bradley Dudgeon Garcia Oilyvagina Cairney Killbane Adebola Simpson Bench: Oxley, Harper, McLean, Emerton, Pusic
mannone rosenoir- hobbs -cooper- dudgeon garcia-oliifinjana-cairney-brady mclean-fryatt subs - oxley-chester-emerton-simpson-barmby
Manonne East Cooper Bradley Dudgeon Devitt Cairney Evans Emerton Simpson Fryatt Subs: Cracknell, McShane, Dawson, Brady, Gabbiadini/Clarkson/Margetts/McElroy, Fryatt, Adebola. Couple of YTS players on the bench, maybe come on for the last 5/10 minutes. Think Clarkson is doing the best at the minute so it'd probably be him. I'd love to see Bradley play, be interesting to see how he handles against a Championship side, likewise Cooper and East. Fryatt to take the captaincy.
I couldn't begin to guess exactly who but it will be a mix of regulars and fringe players, I would name them but I'm scared stiff of not spelling their names right. Bullard might be in for Ipswich tho'
Mannone Rosenior Chester Hobbs Dudgeon McKenna Oli Garcia Koren Brady Fryatt I think we may see Dawson and Stewart get given a rest by Barmby. Garcia and Olifinjana may well come in to receive some game time and to be tested out properly by Nicky. We might see Cooper too. I also expect Simpson will be on the bench and may come on late in the game depending on what current view Barmby has of him. I don't think we'll see a completely revamped side with a mix of young and fringe players though. This isn't a mid week cup tie and I'm sure Barmby will have the mentality to want to attempt a cup run.
Look at the Wigan game last year, Nicky Barmby came on and changed the game, he wanted to win it. That's one of his best attributes, he's a winner. I hope he plays a strong team, after all I bought tickets before Saturdays impotent display. Actually there were a lot of people buying tickets, I hope there's a good turn out to support the turn around! Hoping for ...........Mannone........... Rosser. hobbs. Chester. Dudgeon Brady. Oli. Cairney. Garcia Simpson McLean Subs; McShane, Adebola, Evans, East, Cooper
Mannone Rosenior, Hobbs, Chester, Dudgeon Garcia Olifinjana, Cairney, Brady Simpson , King subs - Bradley,Harper, Kilbane, Mclean, Cracknell
Oxley isn't match fit yet, he said he will be 6 more weeks until he can be back in contention for the bench even.
If Simpson in the line-up would like to see Stewart play. They seemed to be forming a bit of a partnership before Stewart got injured and Simpson was dropped.
Cracknell, East, Hobbs, Bradley, Dudgeon, Garcia, Cairney, Harper, Emerton, Simpson, Adebola. Mannone, Mcshane, Evans, Devitt, Mclean
I am guessing at: Mannone Rosenior, Hobbs, Chester, Dugdeon Oli, Cairney Simpson, Evans, Stewart Fryatt Maybe Cooper for Chester, possibly McClean as RWF with Simpson up top. However think that NB will want to win this one to boost morale so dont expect big changes
I've posted my team on another thread and it was mostly fringe players or 1st teamers that haven't been playing like Dudgeon and Garcia. But I think as ProudTiger says it will be stronger than that. It will probably be a more or less full first tea, with some exceptions, and there won't be many youngsters playing if any. (Last year Bradley and Emerton were unused subs)
Well with the possible news that Brady is back for the season and maybe King as well from Man Utd, City can still put out a strong team even by retsing many key first teamers. Ipswich will also be much weaker due to injury, illness and resting players. So my team for saturday for what it is worth would be this now. Mannone Rosie Hobbs Chester Cooper Olifinjana Cairney Brady Garcia Dudgeon Simpson 7 subs allowed for Cups:- Cracknell - East - Emerton - Koren - Stewart - Fryatt - Mclean OR King(if he comes) NB.Dawson - McKinna - Evans and maybe Mclean to be given a complete rest. imo.
Mannone East Bradley Cooper Dudgeon Garcia Cairney Harper Brady Simpson Adebola Give the full normal starting eleven a rest.
