This from a ManU blog tonight:

"The struggling side seemed to deteriorate as the night went on as it came to the point where United were struggling to string two passes together as they gave the ball away on countless occasions.
A shaky defence was matched by an uninspiring attack as United’s front men were far off the boil. The on-form Berbatov was ineffective and absent until he was substituted for the equally missing Hernanadez. Rooney and Nani both disappointed as neither got going at a time when the eyes of United fans were on them. There was no fluency or linking up within the United attack as they failed to drive the team back into the game.
Naming a Man of the Match is hard amongst of team of poor performances. However Valencia was probably one of the better performances. Playing at right back, Valencia was probably the strongest of the defenders as he stuck to his job of keeping Gutierrez at bay and gave as good as he got."

Hello. Sorry but doesn't Man of the Match normally mean from BOTH teams??

Which match was this Manure fan watching?

    Probably been drowning his sorrows.

Can't blame him, his team were completely outplayed and a distinct second best.

It normally should, but I seen a few blogs where the person picks the 'man of the match' just from his team. Its a bit stupid but do not think he picked from both teams despite it saying 'man of the match'. So its not like he assessed both sets of players and went for Valencia.
