I just dont want to spend 5 million on a guy Spurs bought for 2.5 million and hasnt played much in a year!
Not again Poolie, no truth in it yet, been posted before, and still no evidence. and still so far paper talk. and a post you started yourself. Personally think he would be a great signing, would add pace and is a left winger like we have been crying out for for ages. Him and McClean battling for that position would certainly add strength in depth and he can also grab a few goals. a big yes from me and Kranjcar has also been made available, I would take them both, they would offer so much to our side. Just a reminder of how good this lad is Last edited by poolie_mackem; 02/01/2012 at 01:58 PM. .
have to look at it though that Pienaar was entering the final couple of months of his contract, it was either sell him for cheap or he goes for free a couple of months later, if Everton had demanded what he was worth then, Spurs and everyone who was after him would of laughed in Everton's face. The lad is certainly worth 5m
He may be worth 5 million but i dont think it would be a good idea, we started with 7 Sunderland midfielders against Man City. We dont need midfielders, we have enough at the moment, what would this signing say to Colback, Gardener, McClean, Richardson, Vaughan, Larsson and Catts who have all pulled up trees for us while we have no defenders and a lack of strikers. Why tie up high wages on another midfielder when we need other positions more?
this is better, not duplicated too much. Samba, we wont get, damn shame realy, but still fingers crossed.
Sober believe it or not. three attempts at posting, all went titz up, then all at once,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,`hey presto` three posts. Weather problems? but the changes in the site have sent me sideways.
Was class for Everton, but done nowt for the yids - is it worth a £5m punt? No is my answer - we should stay well clear of Harry's dealings..... Bart
I see your point but have to disagree - if we can sign quality, proven players which will improve our squad then, regardless of their position, why shouldn't we? Spurs are getting rid as he isn't getting a game - they're a top 4 or 5 side and Pienaar fits in better at an upper mid-table side (like us) IMO! Think he'd be a great signing - I know we need Forward and defensive cover most importantly but we've got 9 days till the next league game to get player(s) into the squad and settled so why not?
Is Pavlyuchenko a "goalscorer" though - I don't think he's the "right place right time" man we need personally... I agree both would be excellent signings but we desperately need a goalscorer to get on the end of things - most of Pav's goals are crackers rather than right place right time (that I've seen anyhow) - time will tell eh! Samba would be a very good signing - Blackburn are holding out for £10m as QPR have offered £6m - Not sure if he's a £10m defender but he's decent that's for sure
