So.... Do you think we will see any of the new sponsorship money reinvested in the team this month?

I have a feeling Virgin probably paid a very nominal fee for this, if one at all.

By all accounts we didn't have many takers and they were in effect an existing sponsor acquired by the new company, almost inherited if you like.
Smacks of a mutually beneficial PR exercise...

Look how cynical these lot have made us!

Well considering they took over northern rock.. they will have inherited the sponsorship.. if no years have been added on then i doubt we will see any money out of the deal.. if it has been extended then we will have got money.. and if thats the case id bet on summer

I wouldnt of thought so .. at the end of the day its only Virgin Money taking over northern rock as a company so its not as if its a brand new sponsorship.
Even if it was, i couldnt see us getting much of it to put into buying new players.
