    The Football League Show
THE FOOTBALL LEAGUE SHOW,The head of sport for the BBC is thinking of binning this program, as you all can see there has not been a highlights package for all of Christmas and the New year, which goes to show how much the BBC is interested in the lower leagues. Please could all fans get together and bombard the head of BBC SPORT with letters of support for this program, because we really do not want to lose it.

I enjoy watching it although the highlight last about 5 seconds. It would be ****e if they got rid but they don't care

I also enjoyed it, we might of always been the last team to be shown.
It was better when they read out the emails.
This is typical of the BBC only interested in premiership.
Hopefully another channel will take it on and show more.

Personally I've always found the program a pile of ****e, every time I've watched it I've said to myself I'm not going to watch that crap again, but after a few beers on a Saturday night I tell the wife i'll be up after the football... just so I can carry on boozing., It seems the 3 year contract will not be renewed by the cost cutting BBC and over this festive period packed with football on Boxing Day the BBC showed 2006 film The Guardian, starring Kevin Costner. On January 2, when 35 Football League matches take place, the corporation will screen 1991 film Point Break with Keanu Reeves and Patrick Swayze.... infact I'm so angry about this 2nd rate service I may write a letter of complaint to the BBC as I cannot stand Patrick Swayze.

Isn't the NPC the 5th most watched league in the world?

i agree with massive, this show is complete ****, the pundits are terrible and so is the show, personally i preferred watching the championship on itv1 waking up with a hangover and a bacon and egg sandwich watching it was brilliant, so im all for cutting the program if they replace it back with itv

As far as the Beeb are concerned it cannot be a cost effective formula. Other than the featured game, the labour costs to film complete matches for the remaining games and edit those tiddly bits together must be enormous. How many of us record the programme and speed search thro to the bits of interest. Who the hell is interested in watching 15secs of Accrington v Crewe plus 30 other equally disinteresting games.
Probably the Beeb will revive the local station coverage of matches which are tacked on to the end of the news. At least you will be able to watch the same piece when it is repeated on each news broadcast 25 times a day. Of course repeats fill broadcast time and effectively are free.

i only record it and watch it when we get a positive result. Why would I want to watch Coventry or Birmingham score a goal against us and feel even more depressed than I am knowing the result already.

Wont miss it to be honest. plus the opening titles showed some old tramp dancing like a loon with a city scarf as our contribution of fandom!

    Thanks for that BBC.

Being serious for a moment, I think we need it as it is about the only regular coverage that the non prem teams get these days on "normal" TV. The BBC cannot be allowed to "can" the programe.

As bcfc&w points out, the NPC falls only behind the the Premier League, Serie A, La Liga and the Bundesliga in terms of spectators in the whole of Europe so we DESERVE an outlet for this alone...

I always just watch the goals from all leagues and run on the main matches if they're dull but the BBC should look at cost cutting elsewhere and not paying such huge salaries to a lot of tedious arseholes.

Thank you all for your honest opinions , I think its a shame that Sky have got the rights to the FL from next season you will have to fork out 50 quid a month to watch this and god knows what time of day they will put it on, at that price you would be able to get 2 season tickets for your club. I enjoy watching all the divisions of the NPFL compared to watching the preimiership, which is the same old same old.
I know its the dream of all NPFL clubs to someday make it to the prem, but inthe end all it brings is heart break and tears, you get promoted, spend a vast fortune on new players and their wages and after one season find yourselves back in the NPFL, struggling to keep and pay all these new players which in turn causes the finacial ruin of your club and the real prospect of adminstration.
Again thank you all , all the best for the rest of the season
