Realistic Signings then

If any tweeps remember Tony Fernandes (@tonyfernandes) tweeted about who us R's fans would like to see at the Rangers.

So realistically speaking, who would want to come to R's?

IMO:

Bassong; not been playing at Spurs.
Pavyl; a very realistic target, hoping he's not settled on Macheda.

Both should be regarded as definite purchase.

One who would be the biggest coup ever would be Adam Johnson (Loan). maybe too unrealistic

Who else is available, and will come?

 

I agree with Bassong he would be a good signing. How about Wayne Bridge, Zamora and defoe?

 

are we forgetting Bridge was a disgrace for west ham last year? hopefully he'd be better for us and hopefully we won't pay his wages. Zamora would be hit or miss massively, I would love Defoe, but would he come?

 

I think he would come but i expect he would want to see who we sign first.

 

I have a feeling that Bridge may have felt "pushed" to go out on loan to West Ham. If he gets his contract paid up by Citeh, then he would surely be out to prove he is worth a first team spot at another club?

 

Zamoras interview on sky after scoring todays winner would suggest he's staying at Fulham.

 

Zamora, Defoe and Johnson won't come to us. Pavliachenco is ****!! Bassong would be good!!

Loan deals or signings, CB? Any news on Centre Backs? However after today NW needs to lose the Championship one up front tactic. He has three or four games max IMO.

 

I agree with Bassong (Dawson is back to fitness pushing him further down the pecking order at Spurs), would like Onoua, Livermore, Krancjar, and Kenwyne Jones either loans, buys or whatever.
Others to consider McCreachan from Chelsea, Rochina from Blackburn, Albrighton from Villa and would like Benayoun if Tarbs goes.
Not suggesting everyone but thinking of who would might actually want to come.
Just feel with Defoe, Johnson, Zamora they may not want to come over to the Blue and White side.

 

Apart from Bassong, none of the possibilities you name will help to keep us up imo.

 

I've said all along that I don't know which way the Defoe thing will go. I call it as I see it and I don't think it will happen....but trust me Cerny....I would love you to be right about Defoe!!!!!

 

Rangercol, Norwich and Swansea haven't got marquee signings just players who want to play for them. I was trying to think of players in the same mould for us, not just players with reputations that may only come for the money.
We can buy players, but we want players who want to have a real go in the Blue and White Hoops. IMO

 

Yep, I want big money signings but you may have a valid point
