I agree. Solid RB & should be retained in the squad even if we find a replacement. I think we've got other areas we should be concentrating on. I still don't think it's football that keeps him out of the team. Think we deserve to know what's going on in the background, especially if he is forced to leave.
If you'd have seen him at barnsley then you'd understand how bad he is! He's hopeless. And thats polite
So we started off like this: Becchio Pugh - Nunez - Townsend Clayton - Thompson White - O'Dea - Kisnorbo - Bruce Lonergan But when Kisnorbo got shot with that invisible rifle again (which was a shame since Grayson's idea to make him captain had obviously had a positive effect), Bruce moved into the middle of defence, Thompson to right-back, Pugh to centre-mid, Sam was brought onto the right and Townsend to the left. ATTACKERS Pugh actually impressed me when he played on the left wing, although I don't think a better team would let him get away with it. Townsend and Sam used pace to their advantage, but need to beat their man with the cross if they're drilling it low or aim them better if they're floating it high. Bikey (I think?) was hoovering up all the high balls into the box and it was highly frustrating, but we kept up the tempo and pressure well, even when they scored. DEFENDERS O'Dea hit the bar. Looked decent throughout. Again people persist with blindly slagging him off on here when they haven't seen him play for yonks. He's actually doing well, so leave it out. I'm Bruce's biggest critic, but he was dominant, keen to get forwards and effective. KEEP HIM IN THERE. A trip to ****ty Huddersfield has obviously reminded him that you have to earn the white shirt, and he did that today. Thompson came close with a rasping shot. He impressed me all game. He might have shat himself a couple of times when Burnley players were bearing down on him, but his clearances never cost us and he might well turn into a good player. Similar to Pugh who was decent again today, although a little reticent with his passing sometimes. White linked up well with Townsend, but it's still clear to me that he can't deliver a ball very well and needs to look for the pass onto the inside rather than trying to be Snodgrass and curl in a cross. His pace when defending was useful as ever. MIDFIELDERS Clayton looked a lot freer, and his range of passing was very good and accurate. Better attackers would have put some of his through balls away, but it seemed like fate was conspiring against us. Burnley, in fairness, did defend very heartily. Brown was obviously kept on the bench because he's still aching from Oakwell. Fair enough and his chasing wasn't needed. GOALKEEPER Yeah he was fine. No keeper in this division could have saved Austin's shot from going in. Austin is a disgrace by the way. Walking off the pitch as slow as possible after the way Kisnorbo helped stretcher him off in the reverse fixture. Little skaghead ingrate prick. IN SUMMARY The added time was fully deserved and Lee Grant's timewasting was disgraceful. He looks like a complete bellend now after his howler which led to McCormack's goal. No wonder he's playing for ****ty Burnley. By the way, Grayson wasn't 'bailed out' by McCormack; the performance was fully deserving of a win, and if any bailing out was done, Grayson was the architect since McCormack was his sub. We played with passion, energy and pace and looked like the real Leeds United again. Grayson definitely had them fired up. We showed that we had the winning United spirit that has won us so many points this season. And all this against a team who'd won six out of their last seven. Feels like we're finally marching on together again. BRING ON THE ARSENAL!
