I don't think the likes of Reeves or Martin are really good enough, and Guly... I know there is a vendetta against him and people will say 'when he's good he's good, but when he's bad he's terrible', but that is the problem - we need someone consistent. Lambert has some dodgy patches but generally contributes well every game, whereas Guly, if he doesn't play well, is just awful and pretty much a hinderance to the side. The personnel up front needs to be addressed as only Lambert and Connolly are of Championship quality and the latter is pretty old now. The away tactics need to be sorted as we are just diabolical away from home. I've only been to one away game this season but it was the worst I've ever seen Saints play (the 0-2 at Ashton Gate). I know we are still top of the league and it is only a patch but we need to have ruthless players to match to ruthless ambition at the club, and I think some personnel and tactical (away from home, at SMS we usually play wonderful football) changes need to be made. Forte, Reeves, Guly, Martin not good enough. When Chaplow, Fonte, Barnard etc come back maybe it will pick up again.
If Lambert raised his arms, then surely ref had no choice? If it was a less popular player he would be getting slated on here.
Still think it aint the end of the world. We are still top. Hanging on, yes, but we're top. The plan was to be to be in top 10 in January ready to push on. We are ahead of plan. D'urso is a dick, we know, but if Rickie did lash out then he should know better, but I hope the usual knobs on here don't start a hate campaign against him. He made a mistake, so be it. If it wasn't for him, we would be further behind plan than we are now. Get behind the team.
dont want to have a knee jerk reaction, but the bad form goes on. the cracks are just being papered over and were lucky that boro and the hammers havent taken advantage. time to spend, now. or our rise up the league will come to a grinding halt, december was a bad month, im hoping january wont be the same, but its a pretty bad start getting battered by brighton. time to sort it out!!! COYR's!!!
How we are still top is unbelievable after the recent run of form we have been through. NA does make some frustrating tactical decisions though, yes it sounds like we had a 'legal' goal disallowed at an important time in the game, however when Lambert went why did NA have us playing 4-3-1-1 ? You hear it often, "It's harder to break down a 10 man team" So, why is that then? Because almost without fail, you go 4-4-1 and shut down the wingbacks from getting forward. Why didn't NA do this? Who knows?
Proved again today Fonte Lambert & Lallana make the spine of the team. Fonte out injured for 2 games and we loose both. Now Lambo out for next 3 games we miss him already. Lallana seems a bit off form at the moment and subbed for a youth player ! We need an on form Lallana. These 3 are our key players & their presence without doubt effect the team and result. Can only get better.
I want to see the Lambert incident, if he did raise his arms, what an utterly ridiculous thing to do. Shocked at the result, and lack of plan B. We need Chaplow back pronto.
The wheels on the bus are falling off, falling off, falling off...... What a pile of cack. Well and truly found out. We've had some bad luck, that was inevitable but poor form breeds. We really need to sign some players quickly. Adkins tactics away from home are woeful. His substitutions often bemuse me. Yes were still top but teams that want promotion show more than we have been. We need a plan B. I'm not a boo boy. I'm a realist who's expectations have risen with the weight of being top of the league. To get one point from 3 south coast clubs that require no extra motivation is worrying. Come on Saints! Sort this out before it gets too late.
Steady on fella. Calm down. What's with calling me an idiot ?? No mention of Martin not being good enough just saying Fonte out & we loose 2 games ?
Tell you what, to teach him a lesson, after he's served his suspension, Adkins should drop him for 10 games. That'll teach him.
So I'm wrong to say the ref had no choice if he raised his arms, what cos' he is one of our best players he doesn't have to obey the laws of the game?
knob !, ricky is not a dirty player , as he has never been sent off before this game and only had 3 yellow cards in two years ! , lay off the lad, they had a very bad day at the office and we have been found out that we have no one on the bench with quailty , so we need to get out there in the transfer market before the season resumes in two weeks and then come back strong and start winning again

Well, why get behind a player when you can slag them off eh? As I said, all the whingers are coming out to play now.
CBK - we just got beat 3-0 by Brighton! I think people are entitled to vent a little bit. It's a forum!
No need to call me a knob mush, n I'm not laying into him, there's just no point blaming the ref for something he didn't really have a choice in...
