    The Football League Show
THE FOOTBALL LEAGUE SHOW,The head of sport for the BBC is thinking of binning this program, as you all can see there has not been a highlights package for all of Christmas and the New year, which goes to show how much the BBC is interested in the lower leagues. Please could all fans get together and bombard the head of BBC SPORT with letters of support for this program, because we really do not want to lose it.

It seems an amazing decision. I watch it of course as I'm a Leeds fan and living over here will grab every chance I can to see Leeds. However, all my mates support premiership teams and many have said to me recently they prefer to watch Championship footie because of its honesty and unpredictability.

Good, it's ****. The highlights will hopefully now be in fuller detail and available straight away online rather than at midnight on a Saturday.

yea thats a good point, it just shows goals mainly and you cant really get a feel for the game. I'd prefer to be able to see it online and of fuller detail

The BBC aren't thinking of binning it, they do not have the rights for next season, so they have to bin it, as they'll have nothing to show.

They decided the rights were too expensive and didn't bid for them, the Football League rights have been bought by Sky from next season onwards.

****'s sake, now they'll have every game introduced by some manicured nasal-voiced twat shouting 'AND YOU CAN WATCH THESE HIGHLIGHTS EXCLUSIVELY ON SKY SPORTS ONE OR HD AND 3D ONE.' Great.

Have to agree that showing highlights of Football League games, can not be considered crucial to the BBC. It's tough times for all media companies just now and difficult decisions need to be made. Perhaps having no television cameras at games will mean more people actually go to games and see things for themselves.
