Next step will be Leicester's reps talking to Stewart's agent on the sly. Then talk that the player is unsettled. City need to knock this on the head now (if they do intend to keep Stewart). We need a difinitive statement from the club that he will not be sold at any price, or that only an offer of £10million will be considered and this should be made clear to both Stewart and his agent.
Personally,I think it's a derisory bid to unsettle Mr Stewart.... I guess we'll see if it works over the next few days.
Barmby won't take the job if Stewart goes, and he won't get anything money wise, compared to what he would if a Prem team came in for him.
Do Leicester have any players we would want or are they all money sucking greedy buggers that can't be bothered to try and play now that they are on bloated contracts?
Somebody get on Twitter and tell Cameron to a) start putting a bit more of a shift in and b) tell Nigel to **** off.
have we ever sold you a dud yet? welcome to our discount store...we are open for bisso....some quality items on offer..
That was known ages ago when Pappa said he doubted they would come back for any players after having to deal with him over compensation. Looks like they don't learn very quickly, but then we knew that.
They will go back with more cash for Sharp, and I suspect Stewart as well. Surprised Chester hasn't been targeted first as he is a relatively mediocre contract.
Think it's midfielders they are crying out for so I'm not surprised. Pearson always liked to get business done early anyway. Think we had fryatt and McLean both signed up by this time last year.
As I said a few weeks back, Leicester were preparing to bid for both Stewart and Chester. £7M for both, and we've turned it down.
don't want to scare monger but he didn't look himself yesterday, here hoping they haven't got to him already!
No need to worry, i don't believe we're planning on doing any business with Leicester, they'd have to offer at least double what anyone's worth for us to even consider ithe offer.
