Kisnorbo - Great servent to the club, fantastic motivator, but doesnt have the legs anymore, looked out of sorts against pace yesterday and soon as vaz te came on, the lad gave him the ball and it 1-0 O'Dea - Terribly ****! make no wonder he suffers from concussion, rather than using the 2 feet he was born with, he heads everything with no direction! on 4 occasions yesterday, i witnessed him head a slow moving ball with no pressure straight out for a throw. His awareness like kisnorbo is shot to ****! I'd have had brucey in that lineup yesterday! Connolly - ****ing hopeless, cant pass, has no pace, can't head and certainly can't defend! While ever he can get a game at this level, then there still hope for me! Mikka - great football boots! he's Finnished - see what i did there! Runs around like my missus, arms by the side, wrists flicked up and the flocking hair moving in the ghostly wind! Nunez - Unless hes wearing a honduras shirt, hes ****ing clueless! if your gonna play for the shirt mate, then don't expect to wait for the ball, because you won't receive it! But i blame the weather! seems **** when its cold, and comes good in the sun! Keogh - You know its bad, when your centre backs have scored just as many! Send him back, so that'l be his 70th club in 2 seasons! Pugh - one direction and thats sideways! he's like a crab carrying a large trailer of ****! There was a reason why we got rid the 1st time! **** me!! Ironically - all his signings! Grayson out!
All loanees or freebies. Quelle surprise that they're not amazing. I ask again: which other players could we have got for similar money who are better, considering we appear to have a wage cap?
Why doesn't Grayson walk then. Like the old saying of a tradesman blaming his tools. If he goes now he would retain a little dignity and cv wouldn't look too bad. If he waits another few weeks, hell never get another job in management
True but you look at standard of that list and you look at players in league 1, league 2. Craig davies for barnsley scored a peach and yet came from chesterfield! If we can afford 500k for pugh we can afford to raid the lower leagues
I have to say we have wasted a lot of money on wages. Forssell, Bruce, Parker, Pugh, Keough, Mikka, Connolly, O'Dea, Brown, Rachbuka, Paynter. I have left out Kisnorbo as we all hoped he was going to be the answer when returning from injury. None of these players have had the impact that we wanted. Surely if we have a wage cap we could do without the 10 wages we see here and sign 4 decent players. Yes the strength in depth would be diabolical but isn't it that now? O'Dea for Bruce, Keough no goals for paynter no goals, Pugh or Brown or Mikka the opposition cuts through us no matter who is playing, they dont score or create goals and we concede shed loads. At the moment there is no light at the end of the tunnel, if we had 4 decent players to work alongside McCormack, Becchio, Snodgrass, Clayton, White, Lees, Lonergran and Howson at least we would have a strong starting 11 and the youth players would get a chance or fill the depth with loan signings. The way I see it a loan signing should never start ahead of a squad player or maybe on a rare occassion. Loan signings should give you cover and back-up we seem to use our average squad players for this and average loan signings on the pitch.
Because it's his dream job and he loves the club? And his CV is definitely good enough for him to get another job in this division or the one below it. "If he waits another few weeks, hell never get another job in management" is a resolutely pessimistic thing to say. And if a tradesman's tools are ****, how can he work with them? Give a lumberjack a toothpick, good luck mate, and don't dare blame your tools because there's a common saying which is obviously true by virtue of its mere existence. No manager at this level could do better than Grayson has, or (I believe) will do. No manager above this level would want to work for Bates. Perspective is required. Back on topic, I agree with Vayrynen and Keogh, but would also add Bruce and Bromby to be sacked off in January. The rest aren't ideal first teamers, but are all good enough players to compete for places in a promotion squad.
