Absolute disgrace - we really need to win against Northampton now. Both Southend and Swindon came from behind to win, although Brizzle lost at home to Crewe. Morecambe also did us a favour with a late equaliser against Burton, and Morgan scored, so there are a couple of positives. However, I presume Ainsworth's a gonner - not even on the bench today, so this squad SERIOUSLY needs some strengthening.
i suppose it is marginally better than losing 5-2 at home to crewe. i suspect bradford will finish nearer to promo than the shrews. could it be that ruddy awful pop art badge to blame again. good wins for swindon and southend
promo for shrews? lol. why did gt not put out the strongest side to start with. we need 3 midfielders and 2 up front in the january window.
southend have a game in hand, shrews are 7 points adrift of auto promo with swindon and burton snapping at their heels
I agree that Ainsworth is sure to leave now as he didn't even make the bench in place of.. Grandison??? Great player(and on my shirt) but not who you'd want off the bench at 2-0 down. Hmmmm..
Implosion could be around the corner if we aren't careful, but it's not disgrace losing here - they are on an excellent run and have some decent players. We scored, something Southend didn't manage either, but we need another RW to replace Ainsworth, and imo another LW to provide competition for/replace Wrighty. If we sign two players here (Marshall from Barnet tops my list) and extend the loans of Hurst, Wildig (who may sign on a free in the summer - Cardiff are probably going to release him and he's really enjoying it with us, even if he's out of the team right now) and Wallace until the end of the season, then with Hazell and Grandison on their way back, I think we'll have enough to get us through.
Equally though, had we been 2-1 up, then I'd rather bring on Jermaine. I would put Ainsworth on the bench though: Smith, Grandison, Wallace/Wildig, Ainsworth and Morgan would be the ideal bench with the current injuries.
That's it. I have had enough. We are going to bottle it again. Mid table beckons. GT out. Taylor and Bradshaw do not qualify as being in our best XI. In fact, I am so annoyed I will not go to another game until next year.
Rubbish performance, same old story, we can't match Teams that are up for it!!! Pretty football aint worth nothing if there's no end result. There keeper didn't have to make a notable save today. With GT still experimenting with the forwards half way through the season that says it all for me.
