If Bates was serious about saying he expected promotion this season then I would expect Grayson to get the sack by Monday morning so a replacement can get new players in during the Jan transfer window. If Grayson still has a job on Monday then it's the usual Bates lies and Grayson will be here until he decides to leave or Leeds get involved in a relegation battle one season.
I think Grayson will be in charge for the Arsenal stuffing. Bates might wait until January is almost over first, then he can get someone new in and use the excuse that there is no time to sign anyone BUT funds will be available next season.
