What are your thoughts and predictions for todays game?
Can Wycombe stop Stevenage in their tracks?
I think there will be goals for both teams in this one. I'm going for 2-2 with Trotter to score one and the Beaver to score the other.

i can see a draw, but i think beaver will have a very difficult game. last tiem they were up, he was beated all over the place by a very physical stevenage side. my main worry is in midfield, as blooms isent that strong and halls/harding lack quality. but this is the day i'd love to be proved wrong, COYB!

Sorry folks but after their trouncing of Colchester, I think we could be in for a rude awakening, particularly with not having our strongest side out. They have a very strong and direct team that will exploit our main weakness. 4-1 Colchester. Please let me have this completely wrong and make this a 3 pointer. If we could beat these today it will be a major, major confidence booster.

Come on Wycombe, make my day.

I'm hoping this is the perfect game for John Halls to prove the doubters wrong. We all know he's not the most skillful, but he could be the player we need to break up the stevenage midfield with some tough tackles. I'm gutted we're missing Lewis for this match, he would have loved to get stuck in there, but maybe for the best after what happened last season.

I think Halls could take his chance, less pressure now he is slipping into a side that has a bit of confidence. Watched the game last week and I thought that Big Dave may be on his way back after a couple of poor games. So we should be a bit more shored up at the back. I don't think there is much between the two sides, just hope that the game is not bad tempered. Pysical is fine, so long as all the players finish the the game uninjured. That said hoping for a Blues win over a satanage side that I think is beatable.

Midfield is the key area today and we need to keep possession there much better than we did against Exeter. Stevenage will not give us much time on the ball and will look to close our flair players out of the game. We have to move the ball around quickley and hopefully recent results will give us the confidence to do that. Big Dave will be important too, this is his type of game.

I thought we were on top then all of a sudden the ball is in the net. Bollocks. Back in the relegation zone.

Back in the relegation zone but overall little harm done by the results around us. Still within touching distance of 18th place, which is the key.

Disappointing today, we did enough for at least a point. You have to admire what Stevenage do even though its horrible to watch. They're having a great season.

Sorry to pick on him, but Halls was poor today. He didn't particularly do much wrong, gave the ball away cheaply a couple of times and there was that ridiculous late challenge in the first half. It's more what he doesn't do that is the problem. We missed Lewis getting in tackles, running with the ball and decent passing.

It wasn't the kind of game to suit Trotta, don't think he's come up against a team quite like Stevenage before. He didn't have any service getting to him but should have scored when Beavon's shot was spilled.

The defence looked fairly solid apart from some poor marking for their goal. Bloomfield continued to be excellent and is revelling in the chance he's got since Donnelly's injury.

There was enough on show to not be too down hearted but it was a missed opportunity to pick up points.

we should have buried that, Gaz and trotta could both have scored. matty blommfield was outstanding today, but halls failed to raise to the task. this'll be the last we see of him, im sure of that. gutted for big dave though, and even more gutted that tunnicliffe will be coming into the defence for the mext game. wandermagic, i think halls was lucky to even stay on the pitch after that challenge

there were some positives for us today, but today shows just how poor football can be, stevenage play like that all the time i understand and its a joke thier 6th...but, deep down, i do have to admire it!

    My player ratings:

Bull 7 - Made a smart save in the first half but couldn't do much to prevent the goal
Mccoy 6- Strong defensive performance but was poor going forward
Johnson 7 - Did well to keep their attack quiet
Winfield 7- Strong performance until he was subbed
Foster 6 - Still looks really unconvincing at left back or centre back
Halls 6 - Defended well, but has poor distribution
McNamee 5- Completely ineffective and looked fustrated
Grant 3 - Very poor, looked like he couldn't be bothered and should have been subbed
Bloomfield 8- As said above, works tirelessly and our MOTM
Beavon 6- Looked fustrated by lack of service
Trotta 6- As with Beavon, he cut a really isolated figure
    Subs:
Basey 7- Looked solid enough for the short time he was on
Ainsworth 7- Tried hard to force the issue, and almost scored

very harsh on the wingers, niether was exactly fantastic but 3 and 5? also think you were quite generous to halls, he was poor yesterday. having said that, i would like to see harris or gaz come in for grant against bournemouth, just to give a different dimention to the game. gaz is also a goos leader, which i sometimes feel we miss on the pitch

Ainsworth is a natural leader <ok>

Worth a fortune any day of the week.

Pity he's getting past it and can't last too long.

In defence of my 3 for Grant, I can't stand players who don't work and yesterday, Grant's attitude stank. He didn't bother to chase down anything and when on the ball, made the most minimal effort to try to create anything. He needs to take notes from Matt Bloomfield and do some work, as ability alone will get him nowhere.
