Accers you have shown that you haven't a clue about tactics It's not as simple as putting the best 11 into the team 4-3-3 with wagstaff as part of a midfield 3 ..... Best joke I've heard this Xmas!!!!
Not too sure about Clarke, but we have swapped a 32 year old for him. Clarkes has already scored 11 golas this season, 9 for the bottom team in our division, so he knows where the goal is. Might not be too bad an option to have on the bench.
I am quite surprised by this swap. I know CP was desperate to off-load Benno, but Clarke does not seem the type of character CP has been signing so far. Let's hope they have had a straight talk and Clarke comes to the Valley in the knowledge that he is not our first-choice striker.
I'm overly disappointed by this. Would much rather have Benson than Clarke... whilst he has scored a few this season his career stats speak for itself. I'm also concerned as he is another target man, which we already have 2 of in Kermo and Hayes. But, in CP we trust I guess.
Just realise correct me if i'm wrong he's played for Swindon and Chesterfield this year and you can only play for a max of 2 clubs a year?
This simply put is a truly tremendous bit of business!! We're getting a forward with a proven track record at this level as well as pedigrie of playing higher up the football pyramid. We're getting Clarke by trading in a forward who's six years older with no chance of playing for us let alone anyone else in the championship. It's the football equivalent of trading in a ten year old Nissan Micra and getting a four year old VW Golf in return, without having any outstanding finance to pay. At last we have cover for BWP. Now I'm absolutely certain we'll who the league and more than hold our own in the championship. Well done to all those involved who made this happen.
Great posting Franco hope you are right....he comes to us hungry with something to prove so lets hope you are right

I've been to watch Wolves a few times with my mate. Leon Clarke offered not much, and delivered even less. He doesn't seem to have pace, a strong physical presence or much skill. Not really sure why we'd want him, though I am one for giving players a second chance to prove themselves. His record for Wolves wasn't particularly good. I appreciate he's having a good season, but I don't see him as a direct replacement for BWP (if injured) I remember him being boo-ed continually by the Wolves in a game, and then the biggest cheer ever when he finally got subbed.
Sorry lads, I dunno what the f**k's going on. Every time i post anything it hits the board three times!! I'll contact the mods to see what's happening.
Sounds like an excellent piece of business so long as it doesn't destabilise kermit who is absolutely key to our season. Sounds like the end for either Euell (fair enough in my view) or Hayes (not so good). Never rated Benson. Good riddance.
Good bit of business... not that I think he should start, but he'd be more of a threat off the bench than Euell...
