Cant blame him for the first kick and maybe the second but the third is assault and he should be charged for it.
Agree with terrifictraore on this. I can understand the goalkeeper wanting to stop the pitch invader but kicking the lad three times when he is on the floor is bang out of order. Fully expect the goalkeeper to find himself in serious trouble.
Don't be stupid, how can kicking somebody in the bollox possibly compare with calling somebody a nasty name? Three match ban for the goalie.
As much as he went a little over (yes a little) I think there needs to be a little sympathy for the heat of the moment. The invader clearly came to attack him and that must have been a mighty shot of adrenaline. The first is self defence, the second is to keep him down the third is a bit much but when under attack on a football park there has to be some allowances made for the heat of the moment and red mist with which comes being attacked. Don't blame the manager getting his team off the park either.
I agree with Devlin, in fact i think he showed restraint. If i was in that situation i would've done a damn sight more than a couple of kicks.
If this is a red card offence, next time the opposition keeper is having a blinder at Anfield, someone should evacuate the Kop and go to attack him and wait for him to hit them.
nah.... what he should have done was drop the knee into the guys ribs and shatter a few... one hit then go wha wha is it cos i is block....
Depends on the keeper really, maybe this one is just a nutter.Wouldnt think De Gea would be the type to boot a player even if he uses endearing words to his team mates.
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-16360934 The bloke who was going at the goalkeeper has been sent down. Six month prison sentence with two months suspended.
How many attacks have you been invilved in, that was no attack, the fan lamely raised his leg and then fell over at the slightest touch from the keeper who then proceeded to kick the guy repeatedly. In no way can the keeper claim he was worried for his safety as he had so much space to make way, but he chose to face and tackle the fan. Ban all day long, and police charges to follow no doubt for what was undoubtably assault on someone lying on the ground. The keeper wanted everyone to know he was 'Ard You say the second to keep him down, first of all he didnt try get up and secondly that kick wouldn't have kept downa 2 year old, they were weak as fk 'For Show' kicks
The keeper actually "pulled" his kick if you watch closely. As stated above he could have got back up and stabbed him. You break into my house and my reasonable force will be:- as hard as i can give.I'm a believer in you lose your "rights" when you transgress like that.
