Why do we have such a lack of non-striking goalscorers?

Obertan is potentially world class if he can sort his head out, but could equally stagnate and be this frustrating his whole career. Big risk but immeasurably huge reward (potentially).

A LACK of non striking goalscorers would mean we a lot of goalscorers or we've scored a lot of goals without striking, the ball just bouncing off them or something <ok>

We give the ball to Ba at the moment as he slams in all kinds of goals. When he's at the ACoN then players will be more inclined to take shots on themselves.

I took striking to refer to handsomeness, as in Cabaye and Jonas have scored, Obertan has not.

can i just say that chappaz is coming across as a bit of a **** in this thread?

no doubt his reply to this will be something along the lines of "your post is so off topic and worthless i don't know why you even bother coming onto my thread, you helmet".

To be fair to him, if he said that he'd be right.

    I always come across as a ****, so **** off son <ok>

Most people know I'm not being serious. Well, apart from when I've just said that to you. I'd happily chat normal to them in a different thread. I bear no grudge, unless it's HMT.

**** is a little strong, unnecessarily defensive is more correct...

I think these ARE relevant and not 'completely pointless' for example...

Although I don't personally think Gosling is that type of player, if he was a striker returning from injury, 5 sporadic appearances would be too few to expect a goal return, therefore his 1/5 is in fact very good...

Gutierrez is covering Taylor, thus tethered and less able to attack. If every time he runs forward, he has to be concious of getting back, he can make direct runs shoot and then turn...He can't park himself on the edge of the box when we have the ball, waiting for a shooting opportunity. If Saylor and Colo go up for a corner, its usually Obertan or Gutierrez who are the first to track back!
