Is he living in a dreamland? Firstly saying we are too small for striker who has had one good season in Ligue 1 and then to say £10m is not enough and Giroud is worth "€50m (£41.7m) or €60m (£50m)". I havent seen much of Giroud but i've heard good things, but one good season does not warrant a price tag of such a magnitude, i know hes trying to get as big an offer as he can, but to insult us like that is just disrespectful.

He's obviously a ****ing crackpot. Some owners are and that's why they should leave the PR to the managers.

I think the 50 million pound remark is more tongue in cheek than anything else, considering todays market values... bit of a joker, by all accounts.

I can see why he wants the extra money, to fund his enormous food addiction.

Chamachs (sp) owners and manager said the same about us, but seeing how he has performed for Arsenal, i feel that was a bullet dodged for us on that one.

Its just to get him into the shop window and hoping one of the big clubs will come in with silly money.

We should be really careful with players form Ligue 1 even from the bigger clubs ... because we could end up spending a real fortune on a donkey like Gignac or Chamakh ...

I hate transfer windows because the same stupid set of fans start talking about who we will sign. Any individual with half a brain knows we'll sell Tiote, Ba, Krul, Colo and Simpson within the next two windows.

I actually think Chamakh would do a good job here. I'd take a punt at him for under 8 million.

That's pretty hilarious, the quotes Protein Cheik provided are brilliant. This guy is as bad at PR as Ashley and Llambias. In fairness to him over Giroud he's just doing his best to ward off interest and, failing that, ramp the price up.

He looked quite decent at the start of last season for Arsenal, would be very risky though.

He reminds me of Bendtner with his attitude.

    No thanks.
