We have been robbed today by a disgracefull decision from a so-called quality ref!!He has cost us three points and he will not get punished for his obvious bad call. Why not??If this decision had happened in Italy, for example, everyone would have been saying that the ref. had been"bought"!!Has money changed hands in this country with this decision??Webb wants dropped from the premier league next week as a minimum punishment, but it will still not give my team the three points they deserved!!Webb, you are a cheat..get out of football!!
Was indulging in a bit of nostalgia, have already posted one from you , from the early days,,,,,,,,,,compare. hope your xmas was a great one.
It's very hard to take mate but, that's what we have to do. There's no retrospective awarding of anything yet they will retrospectively ban players when the ref fails to notice bad tackles etc. Today was a perfect example of why video evidence should be used yet they still dither about it instead of taking the initiative and bringing it in.
Such decisions can be soooooo costly. Seemingly, there is never a weekend without one in the Premier, with repucussions for both ends of the table.
You're right. 2 points dropped through poor refereeing decisions such as this can be the difference between relegation and survival in the Premier League, costing a club a minimum of £20m. Technology has to be brought in.

First game v Liverpool, Penalty against Richardson, fair enough decision, did it deserve a red card, debatable but I think 9 out of 10 refs would have sent him off. The free kick won by Suarez which led to the Liverpool goal very debatable as Suarez threw himself to the ground all game without much help from our players. Second Game v Newcastle. Handball against Larsson, not given so he avoids a red card, our second lucky escape in 2 games. The Newcastle goal, again from a free kick given when a player is happy to go down without a lot of contact, then Bardsley gets a second yellow for a tackle the BBC commentator reckons was worth a straight red, so we miss out on a three match suspension. My point is that already in two games weve had enough gone for us than could have gone against us. We might not like what the ref does in most games but so far I think were ahead of the game. .
these things happen, pretty annoying and technology has to happen at some point, it is beyond a joke. that being said, a draw was a good point for us, and on reflection, probably fair considering the way the match went.
Our game against Chelsea a couple weeks ago would have been very different had Luiz been rightfully sent off after 4 minutes and it's more of the same today in regards to poor decisions. A point against Everton is never too bad though
Was it not also Webb that gave Taylor the diving cheating fat twat a penalty that never was either at The Sports Direct under Keane? Seems we are owed big time by the balding ****wit that is Howard Webb. Has he even had the balls to come out and say publicly that he made a huge mammoth **** up yesterday? The bloke is a ****er of the highest order, however, if it had been against Man Utd or Chelsea or one of the top 4 or 5 clubs there would be public outcry. That its only against Sunderland no one gives a **** in the corridors of power. Its a bloody disgrace. If Osman were retrospectively banned for say 4 or 5 games, for blatantly cheating when no contact was made and Webb demoted for making a horrendous error, then it would be some kind of justice but nothing will happen and that makes it harder to stomach. We are the only losers from the incident and yet we are the innocent party 100%. Is that justice? Does this make our game better? Technology has to come in to help incompetent referees do their job and ensure the spirit the game is upheld. No penalty and a booking for the bin scrounger for diving would have been the correct outcome for yesterday. Never mind eh, frig all we can do about it now.
webb just trying to prove that he doesn't just make horrendous errors in favour of the mancs , showing that it is not selective incompetence
Message to billofengland...you have done a "howard webb"...mistaken identity..I'm calmcumbrian, the piece from nostalgia was from cumbrianmackem.Never mind, have a good xmas.
Guys I know we were robbed but since i seen that debacle yesterday from that Ref I always believe that what goes around comes around (you know that karma crap) we had the luck against Liverpool with the beachball...Crap have I been drinking that much, i'm getting kinda philosophical. Sorry... LOL
I do not agree with technology for foootball ref decisions.....mainly because our professional game has been played since the 1880s....and the rules and officials are the same no matter what standard you play....thats the great thing about it all you need is 25 people,a bit of grassy land and a few sticks of wood and away you go....you dont need 360 camera angles to play the game(look at the difficulty they have in the motd studio making the right decision)we need fitter better trained refs and then the human error factor can simply be accecpted as part of the game.....what i dont understand about the webb decision was the length of time he took to make his mind up...if you cannot decide instantly you cannot be certain therefore according to the rules a penalty should not have been awarded.......this is a training issue...and webb should be repremanded by his assessor...it was terrible decision but...dont change our beautiful game.......its great as it is warts anall
