I agree. The Prem is only about plastic fans and foreigners earning mega bucks these days. The football leaague is much better, more genuine fans, and much more exciting. I used to watch MOTD every week but I rarely watch it even once a month now...
Because only a small elite of teams ever do well in it unless some arse starts injecting hundreds of millions into their transfer funds. Because the fans are rubbish with no exceptions. Because the referees are keener to turn it into a pussy game like they play in La Liga than allow a flowing, blood-and-thunder English game like we all want to watch.
I'm not saying that. But I am saying that as an outsider it isn't very enjoyable to watch anymore in my opinion. City and Cgelsea just by anyone that is registered as a footballer. Arsenal buy foreigners which in m opinion is wrong when there is so mch. British talent out there. Utd and Liverpool do nothing but argue with every decision against them. It's just repetitive and dull. The football league is more unpredictable and more exciting!
Most of you say the Premier League is boring but all of us want them there? Hmm. I think the PL is a great league and I can't wait for the day when Saints are back up there. Yes I have enjoyed us being in the football league but being in the Premiership is the pinnacle.
So Cortese and Markus had a vision of getting us into the Champions League, how brilliant would it be to Saints competing that high up! But no we'll settle for life in the Championship shall we, go back into League 1 again for a change? Some Fans Honestly!
yes it would be good to be competing but i hate the premiership with a passion - i would be happy if we got there, but equally i wont be dissapointed if we dont
To be honest I have never really been a great fan of football on the TV and dread the day when I can't get to St Mary's and have to stay at home with only Sky Sports for my football. Give me live sport and live music and live drama anyday. I remember sitting in a pub eavesdropping on a load of plastic TV fans who were going on about their three 3D tellies and how they were going to watch football in 3D and wasn't it just brilliant. Well here is some news for them I have been watching my football in 3D for decades and I haven't needed to wear daft glasses either. As for the Premier League I have mixed feelings. I want us to be there but I don't want us to be cannon fodder and also rans struggling against relegation every year.
This is my sentiments exactly! i know we have to get to the premier league to realise our full potential but i also dislike the premier league for what it has become,a bunch of millionaires with advertising deals and big heads.Unfortunately we have to get there to progress! sounds daft but i love the championship and what it's all about, far more entertaining and less stuck up it's own arse than the premier league!
There is nothing like being in the Prem. I remember going to see Saints play against players like Henry etc how amazing is that?. Nothing apart from beating poopey can give you a feeling like beating Man U 6-3 did. When you pull off a win against a big team it's amazing. Yes I agree the same old teams are up at the top. But wouldn't it be great to try and challenge them one day?. But it's the thought of playing these teams week in week out that excites me. Having to pit our wits against the so called big boys. Maybe this time thanx to The Don and the Liebherr family we will have more of a chance. I would give anything to be back in the prem it would be amazing.
