Let's be brutally frank and say that the last couple of results have mirrored the rubbish that was being dished out under different regimes. So any of you who are waiting to jump all over DM please just hold your horses.

Please remember that the "do whatever is necessary to ensure we don't get a point" brigade was inherited by DM, and until such time as he made the necessary changes that he feels need to be made, he should not be totally evaluated. Many issues are on the table here and when, and only when, he takes full control of the squad by bringing in the players that are required to make us a better team will it be the time to judge with a clear mind.

We must now hope that we can enter 2012 out of the bottom 3 and make changes during the window to move us up the table to respectability. I have confidence to believe that DM has the overall ability and football brain to turn the corner and our support is a very important part of the mix.

    Onwards and upwards....

I didn't listen to the game today fellas and somewhat expected to hear that we underperformed again. Do you think the Nicky situation is having a detrimental effect or did we just play badly?

No, we had many chances and as Radio Bristol said, we bossed the majority of the game and Coventry really put their bodies on the line deflecting a couple of Nicky's goal bound shots just wide....

Apparently, according to Del, Albert had a nailed on penalty denied as well...

If anyone was in any doubt before today the awful result at Coventry confirms that we are in serious, serious ****.

I'm not for one minute blaming Del for this situation. I place the blame squarely on the board of directors for being a bunch of girls and not doing a mans job months ago and replacing the cretin we had in charge.

Goals have dried up, results have nosedived, we've just lost to a club with no previous win in 11 games and only 2 wins all season, the clubs above us continue to pull away from us a point at a time, and a massive gap from the bottom 4 clubs is developing every week, and can anyone really believe Forest will finish in the bottom 3 below us ? No, neither can I, and therefore due to the above factors, I now really really really fear that League 1 beckons for us. It's going to take a near miracle to keep us up and I hope Shiny is preparing for a trip to the Mem.

you seriously think rovers are getting promoted??? dear god

we wont go down, i can see us winning between 10-14 games that will be good enough to see us safe, forrest have just as hard of a game as us next, a point at southampton and it will all be happy days over here again, jan and feb will be the most important months of the season, and im fairly confident we will be safe and laughing come march 1st

You have more chance of getting promoted than getting a point at st marys.

We are a lot different from bristol city. We are battling for promotion rather than relegation. We can retain the services of our best striker and most importantly we beat coventry.

Why don't you concentrate on your own board, you nauseating prick!
So what if we lose at your place, before we played you, a lot of you said you was going to steamroller us. Shiny said a point not we were going to beat you. But remember this you are letting the fans down of the team you are supposed to support, **** me some of them have appoligised for the morons like you.
And remember you won't get 6 points off us this year

Is he really any better than GJ or KEEF?...AT THE MOMENT !

I DONT THINK HE IS, he put out a team I expected with one exception...MAYNARD was in it. I have never bayed for a players blood and I am not now, BUT HE WANTS TO GO has shown a distinct lack of goalscoring prowess in the past few weeks and is probably undermining the rest of the team. He is going in January so lets play players who want to play...I think his playing NM showed he is no where near the finished article as a manager, and I begin now to doubt his ability to keep us up.

How many players do we want? 2-3- 4-5 so how many will we off load in January to make way for them, I would say at least 6 or 7 need to go, our squad is far far to big.

Is he really any better than GJ or KEEF?...AT THE MOMENT !Frankly yes, and by a country mile. I firmly believe that DM has a much clearer idea of what is needed, who (in terms of playing staff) can deliver it, and has methods to ensure that it gets deployed. I only hope we don't have to suffer relegation to start realising it. What we have right here and right now, and as Invermeremike has already stated, is the result of several years of slow but noticable decline (since 2008) which everyone else bar the board could see and no-one had the balls to step in and take the necessary action.

Also, and as I've posted elsewhere, with the Maynard situation it's a double edged sword for the club. For him to have played yesterday we probably have to assume that no deal/gentlemans agreement has yet been struck with another club for his services come January, and therefore we're still parading him in the shop window for now to try and recoup some money because our board of directors got it wrong yet again, when it was fairly obvious to everyone that he was never going to sign a new contract.

This situation is not good for the player who wants away and maybe isn't giving it his all, or for his team mates moral who know that he'll easily double, triple, or quadruple his salary at a Premiership club when they are left behind, or most importantly for results and our survival chances. The sooner a deal is done and he leaves, the better things will be all round.

We've also blown chances of getting loads of extra points recently (7 plus) and most of them are down to us not taking our chances and underperforming against clubs like Derby, Forest and Coventry that we needed to beat, but at the moment the writing is very much on the wall for relegation if this continues.

Even with players coming in and others leaving in January, my fear is that it's all too late already as we will need time to adjust and gel as a team again.

IMO we need a run of 4 or so straight wins to catch the pack above us and climb away to mid table obscurity and I just can't see it happening and the longer this bad run goes on the worse it will get.

Some good well aired points angelic

    .

. . . add A point off Midds and 2 off Watford to this and it makes 10 (when actually its only 2 points from 15 gained, KEEF FORM!)

However, and Angelic I am not being nasty this next comment is WAY WAY out, you need to make an understanding of how we can get these 4 wins, to work for us, its not so simple as some on here have said just keep on winning and things will look after themselves..

    ..they DONT.
we win 4 games, everyone in the bottom 12th to 20th win 2 = Millwall now below us
we win another 4 games now on 45 points with 31 games played teams in 12th to 19th win 2 each that would put us in 12th or even 10th place so you are right, sort of, 4 wins would get us there..thats 4 wins more than the current bottom 12 achieve. IS it that simple , NO , who plays who comes into it, and can a team win a staight 8, especially BCFC.........I DOUBT IT.

BOTTOM LINE AT THE MOMENT IS

    :) :) :););) :):)

Fair points but being so close to disaster at present and not being capable of pulling away from Cov, Donny and Forest is just heaping pressure on the team as the fans get nervous. We were genuinely unlucky (robbed actually) not to get a point and possibly all 3 against Boro, we rode our luck to get a point at Watford, but the rest is just largely poor displays and we were unable to beat Forest or Coventry, teams that everyone else regularly does, and that I'm afraid tells us more about our predicament than anything else.

You steamrolled us a couple weeks back and now you've lost at dire coventry? What's that about?

This isn't meant to be a dig, I'm being serious, thought you guys were starting to come really good.
