I know it was only against Bolton who have pretty much been relegated but it was a win and a much needed in indeed.
First half we seemed to get drawing into Bolton's hoofballing game much to my frustration. The two free kicks at either end were the only incidents of the first half and neither should have been given as free kicks. Two great saves though.
Second half we started awfully for about 10 mins. Then we got back into the game and once Ben Arfa game on we moved out of first gear and into second gear for a brief spell and we got two decent goals. Then we dropped back down to first gear to easily see the game out. It's frustrating that we didn't play as well as we could because we could of got a cricket score but I suppose we were saving it for Liverpool where we might actually need to put some effort in to get a result.
On a side note did anyone else think that Klasnic's actions were disgraceful today. It's a joke that players aren't banned for blatant cheating like that. You can't even say he went down easily from the slightest bit contact because there was no contact, no one was anywhere near him yet him and the Bolton squad still had the indecency to appeal for a penalty. Gladly the ref didn't fall for it but at the very least he should have booked Klasnic. Personally I think the FA have to crack down on cheating scum like this. The only way to make them learn is to ban the bastards.
    Player ratings:
Krul-7-Decent save first half from the free kick. Coped with what Bolton threw at him which was very little. He could have sat back and enjoyed the match on a deck chair for the most part of the game.
Simpson-6-A quiet game, nothing spectacular but nothing daft. A good game.
Williamson-7-a rock, absolutely solid, I know Perch has been decent lately but Willio is twice the player Perch ever will be.
Coloccini-7-Back to his normal self after the West Brom nightmare. Well played.
Raylor-7-Set up our first goal and went close with a decent free kick. He didn't **** up defensively either. Well played.
Obertan-7-Credit where credit is due, he played decent today and set up our second. Fair play to him.
Cabaye-7-We missed him against West brom. Played well and controlled the midfield.
Tiote-6-After his disaster midweek he was closer to normal. Still not his best. He went on a fouling rampage and got booked for it, otherwise a quiet game.
Jonas-6-Not his best today like. A quiet game bar the odd fantastic touch.
Ba-7-Another game another goal, were going to really miss him while he's at acon. Some good play today.
Best-6-Not his best (no pun intended).
BenArfa-7-Came on a changed the game. Good goal. He has to start games though.

    Urgh, separate paras please.

Obertan was worse than a 7. Only got to the by-line once and crossed and that led to the second goal. Surely he must see that he has to do that more often, rather than cut inside or check back.

A good team performance, a good win and a good three points.

I think you're maybe being a bit miserly with your points, they all deserve at least another 0.5.

Klasnic fell over <laugh> He didn't even appeal for a pen.

Klasnic didn't dive, he tripped. He didn't appeal either. We were fortunate to get a free-kick

Oh well I apologise to him if he did trip rather than dive although im sure I saw someone in a Bolton shirt appealing, I could be wrong though.

I actually think although some of the players appealed Klasnic just fell over, either that or he realised what a horrible attempt at a dive it was and got embarrassed, because he himself didn't seem to appeal at all. I'm going to give him the benefit of the doubt on this one.

Mark Davis was the one that appealed.
