Probably been done before, but I'm curious as to how people rate Leon after a year of playing somewhat regularly for us. When we signed him in the championship I thought he was going to be a Championship signing, much like Routledge and Perch were, but apparently he had been scouted by the NUFC scouting network for some time and touted by Sir Bobby Robson as having quite a lot of potential when he was younger

I for one am incredibly impressed by almost every single game Leon has played for us in the past calendar year and think that he deserves to be on the team sheet each and every game. He's a deceptively fast and powerful centre forward who holds the ball up brilliantly whenever its asked of him, finishes like he should be playing in Europe, and adds that magical little Irish touch of luck and grit to our decreasingly British squad

    rate from 1-10 (i picked 8!)

Gave him a 7 because of his inconsistency , he can be unplayable on his day but on other days he'll just be caught offside 9 times in 15 minutes.

7 - He's scored some important and good goals last season after we sold Carroll. Started this season with a blast but he's last goal was like in September, but to be fair to him, he's been to busy setting goals for Ba and he works hard.

7 - nine goals for the year isnt bad bearing in mind he's been injured and out of favour a couple of times. Always puts a shift in and leads the line well even if he isnt scoring.

A bit mean, his work rate alone is worth more than 4, his goals and assists must add something to that.

was going to give him 10, based on the fact that i expected he'd be complete bollocks at the start of the year, so he's surpassed himself on that front, then i thought i should rate him on how he's actually performed for the team and was going to give him a 6, but then i thought about how he's got that bit of skill in his locker to beat a defender so that bumped him up to a 7

Maybe it is a harsh score - for this year I'll give him a 6 then (soz already given hiom a 4 on the poll) but seriously do not rate him at all. Him, Raylor, Obertan and Simmo are all cracking lads but a bottom half premiership standard at best players

Whenever he's playing he's usually involved in the build up to every goal

I remember for Demba Ba's hat trick at Blackburn he won the flick on for Obertan's assist, assisted Demba's next goal, then won the penalty for the last and was omnipotent up front against Chris Samba yet was pretty universally rated as playing a 7/10 for that game while Ba received 8/9/10's (I check player rating threads after everryyy game)

I don't wish to rate him, but I'm often p'd off at his inability to stay "Onside". He gets caught out so many times it's embarrassing.

If he'd learn the offside rule then we could have a decent player on our hands. Nothing spectacular, but a capable striker.

He works better with Demba than any other striker we have and his aerial ability is unsurpassed.

Shame he hasn't been as good recently, but I like Best and couldn't believe he was on the bench against Norwich.

    EDIT: Oh, 8.
